I wish I could give them a big, fat ZERO! I shopped the women's store for almost 2 hours and with the exception of the lady who rudely pointed me in the direction of the Lily Bloom bags, I did not get greeted by 1 single person or asked if I need help. I shopped the Michael Kors and Ralph Lauren section...same. No greeting, help or anything. I finally went to check out and went to the Lilly Pulitzer register to run into the snootiest clerk. She was messing with the tissue paper as she chatted it up with a customer who had an arm full of Lilly P. items who was just shopping, not even waiting to check out. She turned around twice and saw me standing there waiting to check out. She never said can I help you, I will be with you in a moment...nothing. I wish I had gotten her name so I could name her on here. I went to another register instead of wasting anymore time with her. That was my crappy experience in the women's Belk here in Hilton Head and really don't care to go back. My husband, in the meantime, was shopping over in the separate men's store. He came back to tell me he left 3 shirts laying there at the check out because of the lack of help. He walked around the entire store trying to find someone to ring him up. There was 1 lady in Home Goods but she was working on getting someone approved for a credit card. He walked around to try and find someone else and a manager told him there is a clerk in Home Goods that can ring him up. He explained to her the wait there and there was no offer for any other remedy. As he walked the whole store again, he could still only find the 1 clerk who was still trying to get the customer approved for a credit card. So he just kindly put his items down and left the store. As far as the condition of the store...a mess. I walked past a cart loaded with make up orders sitting in the middle of the aisle as I walked back to shoes and handbags. When I walked back by almost 2 hours later, still sitting there. Racks are a mess throughout the store and my husband said the men's/home store was the same. Stuff in the aisles everywhere. I made the mistake of placing an online order placed last night under 24 hours and was informed I have to wait until I get the order which can be up to 15 days then return it to the store for a refund. This was my CHAT and BELK’s response. This makes me so sad, I will no longer shop at BELK please share this post to educate individuals.

Read moreVery unorganized in every department. Shoe department is extremely small with very little selection and no one to help you and get your size from the back. However, they were having some great sales. The jewelry department was horrible. There was no one in the entire department at all and I was there for quite some time. No one even attempted to help me at the counter. When my daughter and I were ready to check out I was extremely close to leaving it all because not one sales associate in the entire store had spoken to us, tried to help us, or even smiled at us. However as we were approaching the exit we went by one last customer service desk and the associate there went out of her way to speak to us, offer to check us out, initiated genuine conversation and was extremely helpful with coupons and everything!
