I have been a client/customer of Hingham Jewelers for several years now. Each time has been to ask if they could fix a piece; or make a new piece from two separate pieces. They have done amazing work and ends up BETTER than I imagined it would be. Today I think they surpassed an image I had in my mind. I had a half-inch wide 18k continuously scrolled wedding band that had been carefully cut off (by them) a few years ago. The band was from 1972. Its been in the drawer for 3-4 yrs. I have been wearing the Claddagh ring w/a diamond in the heart that was my late husband's. One day on a road trip I wondered how I could find a way to combine the "put away" band with the Claddagh ring. So I ask Hingham Jewelers IF that was even a possibility? After having my oval diamond reset w/oval peridots (my husband & my birthstone) on each side, I was ecstatic with the result. Today I got a call (St Patricks day, ironically) that "Mark" had finished the wedding band/Claddagh ring "merger". If I was Happy w/my diamond-peridot ring, I wish you could have seen me TODAY when Emily put the one-of-a-kind wedding/claddagh ring on my finger 🤩 You'd have been Irish-green with envy! Hingham Jewelers will forever be our families favorite jewelry store. I have 3 daughters and a granddaughter and have purchased everyone(including myself) an add a pearl necklace. My late mother-in-law began this tradition & Hingham Jewelers has made it an always perfect experience when purchasing additional pearls in person and have also gone above and beyond to work with me from 1,000 miles away. They have made family heirlooms that are beautiful & wonderfully made. The attention to detail cannot be matched. I know this to be true after my husband used a local jeweler(in NC) to make a gift attempting to replicate the same necklace. The local jewelers work simply cannot compare. The pearl split and clasp broke after a very short time. The necklace my husband had made in NC was turned to scrap gold. Lesson learned. I returned to Hingham for their superior quality and craftsmanship and will simply only ever use them. It arrived today and I honestly could not be happier with it. The people at the store truly listened and cared and made sure to make a strong piece that is elegant and will be added to as the family grows.
