So I stopped by this place to give a review. I walked in to what I thought would be some great ice cream. As I stood in line there were at least 7 people working behind the counter. Not one employee said hello or even acknowledged me while I walked in or when I went to the back to get in line. A young girl stares at me and says nothing. But soon as a guy and his family came in she looks over me and openly greets him and his family with a bright smile. At this very moment I looked behind me then at her again. She says nothing. That was my queue to leave. Won’t ever return again or spend my money here. I don’t want to assume but I hope I wasn’t avoided because the color of my skin. It’s 2023 people, WE are all over and can live and go wherever we choose. This was very disheartening to experience from another human being especially moving from another state. What made it so bad not ONE person working behind the counter said hello or even offered to take my order. If this is what your employees are doing to “different people” then you should hire more employees. I hope the owner can show the young lady this review because I’m sure she remembers me. Hope they get better and more welcoming employees in the future. You just never know who’s coming in to your place of business. Back to Mama...
Read moreIce cream shops should have air conditioning, lol! So this was our first trip to this spot since it opened. First off, parking can be...challenging...but that comes with being on Main Street. Second, upon entering the shop (smelled AMAZING) the first thing we noticed after the decor was HEAT. I don't know if they A/C was out, or if this was some weird ploy to try to sell more ice cream, but it was uncomfortably hot to be inside on a June Sunday afternoon! Even ceiling fans could've moved air. The flavor choice was good (we had strawberry cheesecake, cookie dough, carolina crunch, and I tried banana pudding and pineapple coconut which was seasonal and amazing!) We each got 2 scoop cones without knowing how big they are. I don't know if anyone finishes a 2 scoop cone without GI distress or pre-diabetes, lol. A 1 scoop would've been more than enough, I only say this because I wish someone had told me! Waffle cones smelled great but we're just alright. Service was fast though. All in all, a pretty good ice...
Read moreNew in Holly Springs, but good quality ice cream with good service and a smile seems to be a trait of the town. We parked around the corner or could have parked anywhere downtown and walk right up. The building is beautiful, space is colorful and vibe is inviting. Before you even enter this place you smell the aroma of waffle cones freshly made wafting down MainStreet, hmmmm. No cap this is not the only ice cream shop but it is a very good ice cream shop. The thing is this… when there are multiple places in walking distance to get this chilled treat, the experience matters, I felt welcomed, appreciated and my wife sampled like 6 flavors because the all looked so good. Btw is got the banana pudding, it was spot-on to the dessert and it was smacking. Sorry I ate half of it before I recognized I didn’t get a picture of the artistry. Definitely a must try, take your lactaid if...
