No dogs allowed. unfortunately dogs are prohibited, according to a very straightforward sign in the front and one of the parking lot folks told me before I went in. Luckily I was with other company, so we all rotated seeing the reservoir while someone watched my dog. There's a long path right when you get in, take that all the way to the end. I say this because there are also little paths on the sides of the long path, and some of my group went to the first path on the left, which they said was pretty but nothing over the top. Take the long path towards the end and you will see a gorgeous huge panoramic view of two separate bodies of water with a small pathway down the middle, you can walk around both. Definitely gorgeous and...

Ashley's reservoir is beautiful. It's so relaxing to take a walk in. You can ride your bike or just simply go for a walk. It's clean and safe and dogs are almost always on a leash. I do however wish it was wheelchair accessible so others could enjoy this beautiful place too. Come here you won't regret it. :) p.s the main entrance that used to be up towards westfield is blocked off go around the holyoke mall over by lower westfield rd and park at the elks. (Google it) It leads you right into...

Absolutely beautiful place to take a walk. Abundant wildlife, you will see plenty of heron's, ducks, and geese and various songbirds here. Very clean and well kept. Being able to walk some of the paths with the water surrounding you from both sides is one of the most relaxing experiences. The trails are well travelled but never feels too busy here. Very easy trails for people of all ages too. If you stay on the open trails away from the woods it isn't too buggy.
