I put in an online order for myself and some coworkers, which I was supposed to pick up at 9pm. I show up at 9pm, 4 employees are standing around joking with each other, and my order is nowhere to be seen. I told them my name was Justin, they had never heard of me. They did a little checking around and oh, there's my order, just nobody had bothered to look at it yet.
Now I'm on the clock at work but it's not the end of the world, they are going to hurry up and make this ASAP, right? Wrong. 3 employees stood right where they were and continued joking around while one person made my order and my coworkers' orders, one at a time.
During the joking, a female employee said something to her coworker along the lines of "Haha I don't give a F about these customers hahaha". I'm not the language police or anything, but if this woman had even the self-awareness of a turtle she probably would have realized that's not a very cool thing to say when I am standing right there, trying to get back to work but waiting on food THEY ARE LATE ON. How does this woman remember to breathe if she can't even realize that?
They get all the way to the end of my order and THEN inform me that they don't have chips. Did I pay for chips? Yes. Can I get a refund? No, I have to call Chipotle Corporate to get that. That one's not on the employees, but perhaps if they had noticed my order in a timely manner, they could have called me in advance and at least I could have told my coworkers not to expect chips. My phone number was on the order. But of course they didn't even read my order in the first place until AFTER I walked in.
I grumbled a little bit "Oh great the food is late, you don't have chips, and I can't even get a refund" and the male employee I was speaking to when I said that said.... "THAT'S NOT MY FAULT".
Seriously? One of the things I said is that you are late. It's not your fault that you are late? SERIOUSLY? Did he even listen, or think?
But at least our food is A+ other than the chips, right? Of course not. One coworkers was missing fajita veggies that he paid for, another coworker had white rice when he had ordered brown, and I was missing queso which of course I also paid for. Maybe the order could have been made properly if each employee took responsibility for one meal and put the proper amount of time into each, instead of 3 of them standing around saying things like "I don't give a F about these customers" while one poor guy struggled to get multiple orders together.
The employees here are awful, and whoever is hiring and training employees here is doing a less than...
Read moreMy first time visiting a Chipotle restaurant. Let me walk you through my incredible journey. As I approached the lightly dimmed doorway I felt this was the moment I would truly be happy with my life. I went up to the counter greeted by a woman who was born ready to serve me Mexican food. I ordered a rice bowl and watched the magic unfold. As we walked down the line, I watched her slop a scoop of rice into my bowl followed by a touch of black beans and a heaping mound of steak that seemed it was prepared 7 hours ago but still succulent. She asked if I wanted queso and I yelled “F*ck yeah dude” but we weren’t done yet. The mild pico was gently layered on top and the corn was blended in with such finesse. At this point I felt I was going to blow up my bathroom later this evening so I insisted on enough lettuce to cover the shame and guilt nestled in my bowl. At the end of this magnificent experience I grabbed a bag of chips and punched them on top of my bowl with my fists and dug in. The first bite was a sweet melody of flavor. It felt like there was an orgy of deliciousness happening inside of my mouth hole. As I left the restaurant I looked back and said to myself “you did it” and knew in that moment I would never be back to that store but I’ll look forward to next...
Read moreGo in tonight, got about a quarter of a bowl and a skimpy bag of "large" chips. Walked in and stood around while we watched 5 employees joke around, glance at us, and then half scatter to the back like they were working. Meanwhile, there is one emplpyee on the grill who has the one serving me asking about brown rice multiple times as if he didn't leave rice in the cambro after skimping me. Normally I would politely ask for more, but I couldn't manage to open my mouth without saying how disgusted I was with the state of the restaurant and the amount of employees working to stare at us upon arrival. It's amazing food prices keep going up, we add more employees, for the service to be terrible and the place to be groas. Dirty tables everywhere, and most areas have clearly not been wiped down (i wouldn't touch the soda machine with a 10 ft pole). Go to any other chipotle or McDonald's around the corner. Should have walked out when they were too busy joking and having us stand around. Whoever the supervisor on shift was is clearly a friend...
