Horrible experience. Have had 3 instances with them resulting in dead animals, sometimes before I've even reached home. I have fish, both fresh and saltwater. I have had issues with both. I will say that I've dealt directly with their District Manager, as well as the store manager, which was a pleasant experience (for the most part, the manager didn't notify the worker about my coming in for a refund so it was like pulling teeth to get my issues corrected). My saltwater tank has at least $1.2k that's been put into this year. The issues of dead or unhealthy fish could have crashed my tank, multiple times and I'm just not okay with that. Even inside of the stores, you can see plenty of dead fish inside the tank with the other fish. They don't try to take them out or anything, which of course is going to raise the ammonia level poisionging the other fish. I've also received dead and/or dying snails. The last time that I went in for some snails, it took the young man nearly 5 min to find "some that aren't dead". Well one of the ones that he packed did end up being dead. I've never had an issue with any male bettas, and I think that's because they are kept separate. They aren't kept in tropical temperatures (as they should be), but they aren't left in congested tanks either. When you receive them they are a bit groggy and slow, but once in the proper set up, they've always done me just fine and have survived for years. It's the ones that are kept together in poisons tanks that is the issue. I wouldn't recommend buying ANY fish/ invertebrates/ Corals from this location. Their corals are washed out as well. Keeping fish isn't that hard but yet they seem to have a major issue. I've also read that their water "testing" is with paper strips, which is highly inaccurate and not used by those who are truly in the hobby. Management can do damage control, but after multiple infractions, I'm inclined to think this is simply that way...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy dog went here to get groomed since his normal groomer didnāt do teeth brushing, and we thought we would give Petco a chance just this one time. Little did we know that our dog would be traumatized when we got him back. He went in calm and normal like he is for his other groomer; we were expecting similar care for him but unfortunately ended up with a dog who got home not acting at all like himself. My dog came home with half of his body groomed, his nails untrimmed, his eyes bloodshot, and an awfully choppy haircut. And when I say only half of his body, I mean literally his whole upper half from the middle of his back up was not touched. Right when we got him home, we noticed something was off. He did not come when we called his name and would not accept treats, but he drank a large amount of water in an extremely short time, which leads me to believe they did not supply him with any for the hours he was there. This dog is normally not a dog who bites or has any other problems getting groomed at his usual groomer and comes home excited, happy, and hydrated. We will never come back or give Petco a cent more of our money. Other than the obvious mistreatment and disregard for our animal, at the end of the appointment, we were charged $100+ for a half-groomed and now traumatized dog. Donāt go here; the groomers do not know what they are doing and will...
