As a 25-year resident of Holyoke and someone who both lives and works in this community, I’m always eager to support local businesses that genuinely care about the people they serve — and Western Mass Appliances is one of those rare gems.

From the moment I walked in, I felt at ease. It was heartwarming to see the owner's wife and children nearby — a reminder that this is a true family-run business rooted in our community. The team was incredibly honest, helpful, and refreshingly direct. I came in with an open mind (and budget), even considering a more expensive model, but they took the time to really listen to what I needed and steered me toward a more affordable option that was a perfect fit. That kind of integrity and transparency is rare these days, and I truly appreciated it.

To top it all off, they managed to deliver the appliance the same day — something I didn’t expect at all and know isn’t common, but it was a much-welcomed surprise. The delivery was smooth, quick, and hassle-free.

All in all, it was a really pleasant buying experience. I got a great deal on a name-brand, high-quality appliance, and the service from start to finish was outstanding. I wouldn’t hesitate to shop with them again and will definitely be recommending them to friends and neighbors.

This is the only place I will go for my appliances! Jason, one of the owners, was so helpful in explaining the features and pros and cons of each washer dryer set I was considering. He was personable and knowledgeable and gave his honest opinions and I felt like I could really trust him. Prices were good. The delivery brothers, Jimmy and Jeremy, were awesome! They were careful, efficient, and thorough. I have an old house and the installation wasn't so straight forward, but they figured it out and set up everything beautifully. They made sure the washer and dryer were level and functioning. Jimmy showed me how to remove the lint from the basket outside, which can be a fire hazard if not removed. They even wiped their fingerprints off the washer and dryer and streaks from our already old and discolored floor tiles that the feet of the appliances left when they were slid into place. They took such great care with every aspect of their work. They even rescued my laundry that had been trapped in the old washing machine. This place is amazing and we would recommend them to everyone. Donald was so patient with us yet at same time he was educating us to. They sell scratch and dent and can even order new directly from manufacturers. Donald was extremely helpful in helping my husband and I see what we really wanted. We ordered a new stove and although a little more expensive I was amazed when he actually match the sale price from home depot I absolutely could not believe it!!! These guys kept blowing our minds at every turn. The stove came i. And was delivered 4 days later and the two gentlemen were awesome, the unboxed the stove with us there, we so patient as when it didn't fit thru front door we had to change plans but the were fantastic and did not hit any walls or furniture.
