My friend on Guam loves crack seed, and so for the holidays Iāll go hunting for her requests. I used to go into Chinatown but thankfully I found one of the best and oldest near me, in Kaimuki. The store fronts Koko Head Avenue, and if you canāt find street parking, thereās a big metered parking lot behind the building - be sure to bring quarters!
In the age of COVID, youāre not allowed to shop in the small store - you can step into the entrance and order from the friendly staff who will bag your selections. Thereās a menu on the window and door, but you can also ask them about the many varieties. They hot seal the plastic bags, which is awesome if youāre bringing them with you on a plane for friends off island.

As a keiki, it was my favorite shop for candy and crack seed and Icee. Used to ride my bike there 8 or 10 years old... by myself... imagine that these days.
COVID-19 has changed everything including da Crack Seed Store but they have done a great job coping with the public health requirements. Only one at a time allowed but everything is in plain view.
Still the largest variety of top quality crack seed presented in the old-timey jars.

Here you will still find the 'ole school crack see jars and delightful snacks by the pound. Love the iso peanut; this is the old school style, nice shoyu flavor and crunchy exterior before you get to the peanut.
The special super item to ask for is their li-hing Icee with vanilla ice cream.The shopkeeper puts real li-hing juice in the cup along with a plum that has been soaking in the special li-hing sauce. Whoa!! Broke da mouth!!!
