Always a great place to start your Saturday! Will post more pics as I frequent the vendors. Get an early start, dress comfortably. Variety of vendors you never knew you wanted to buy from until you've met them and tried their products. It'll take about a brisk hour or a casual couple hours to browse most everything. Go hungry, fair amount of nice options to indulge. About a $100 cash and an empty bag for your things should work. Most booths accept cash, some credit or Venmo. Usually cheaper with cash.
4/24/21 There are restrooms and two bank machines on the campus that patrons have access to. You may also bring pets as long as they're on a leash, controlled, and you look after then. Parking in lots below accessible from Diamond Head Road, and above (slightly longer walk to access) on Makapuu St.
My Foodie Favorites:
Honolulu Burger Company - They're all pretty good. Consistent, fast and friendly. Add on the sweet potato fries!
Big Island Abalone - The new Opihi! $15 for an uncooked, chilled, 1 - 1.5lb bag. Lasts for a day, otherwise, can freeze it. Cook, bbq, or saute as is. Has its own onolicious flavor. You can also sample their giant trio! That's what got me hooked!
Ma'Ona Musubi - The staff of three girls kick okole' every week. They work very hard putting out a great product. Very nice and unique musubi offerings that are just right fillings. They also make fresh omelet bowls for a pretty good meal on the go. My favorites are the Shrimp Omelet Bowl, the Soboro Pork musubi, Salmon & Brown Rice musubi, and the Mayo Shrimp musubi.
Luau Bombs - A nice quick fix of four different flavors of mini Lau Laus. My favorite are the Pork and also the Lup Cheong with Butta-fish. All cooked with a nice touch of coconut milk. Sassy ladies with a sassy onolicious product!
Kukui Sausage - Working my way through all the flava-licious offerings. You can get then on a stick for $5 each, or in a bun. My favorites so far are the Portuguese Sausage and the Chorizo!
Kukui Sausage - The Portuguese Sausage Andagi is pretty good. 4 for $3. Woofed it down! Lol.
Grace Foods (Takoyaki) - Well, because it's takoyaki, made fresh with local tako. Saves a trip to Don...

Read moreMostly tasty food and drink vendors here. You can also buy salts and seasonings as well as some tiny trinkets and knick knacks. The dry food snacks are packaged well and easy to mail at the post office a mile and a half away. There is ample parking. However if you arrive at close to 10am like I did know that the parking will be near full and the parking spots themselves are smallish. For instance, a mid size rental car like mine had a hard time parking between a Tacoma truck and a tesla which were doing their best but crossing the parking lines. Additionally it's a good idea to bring a backpack or tote to carry your shopping. Bringing your own reusable drinkware will get you a one dollar discount at the juice places. Seating benches filled up quickly so bring a lightweight camping chair, picnic blanket or foldable stool. Sitting on the grass where so many people eat and spill food, bring their dogs to pee etc will be dodgy at best. The food places smelled delicious. I liked Haleiwa burgers for taste and affordability. The coffee vendor by the entrance had really good Thai iced coffee as well. The hours are 7am to 11am and the market is only on Saturday, so account for travel time and plan...
