Yum yum yum yum yum. We came for the Blueberry scones, and then ended up coming 3 more times for more scones and the fooooood! Garlic shrimp: good flavor, but small portions Loco moco: a lot better than last time! Gravy was more flavorful and portions were larger than last year when I came Ahi tuna and salmon burger: surprisingly very fresh and yummy, with decent sauces that didn’t overpower. The fish were grilled perfectly and tender. Char siu: my fiancé gobbled that up! We weren’t expecting much but came to realize that’s one of the dishes they’re known for (research based off only one newspaper printout they have posted outside) Not pictured. BLUEBERRY CREAM CHEESE SCONES!! Treat yourself. First time we came to Hawaii, we got one a day and took a bunch back to the main land. This second time, prices increased so we just got one every two days. Very good but decadent, so maybe go on that hike first. All in all, yummmmy! And there’s a small parking lot so you don’t have to find or pay for parking. It’s not sit down but most people just eat in or by their cars.

The rumors are true, you don't need to hear it again from me but I'll say it anyway, this place is great. An institution, if you will. I might be applying that term liberally since I really don't know much about this spot but it feels deserved. Portabella mushrooms are still criminally underappreciated (is that a word? Doesn't look right) in our society, it deserves to shine, and shine it does here particularly in the form of their portabella mushroom sandwich. Really, their buns are so damn good (sweet, golden, plush) they stuff em with pretty much anything and it'll taste like a dream. Being the genius I am I got the portabella sandwich with a side of grilled salmon and made a portabella salmon sandwich which they should consider adding to their menu! because what it would earn in sales from myself alone would TRIPLE their annual income. Slight exaggeration. Anywhoo, not much more to say really, it's so good, it's just always so good. Order a lot. Try all their sauces. Go crazy people

This is a great spot to get take out dinner near Waikiki. There is a small parking lot in front of the grill. My husband got the loco moco and I got the wasabi shoyu ahi salad. My husband enjoyed his loco moco and I loved the salad. It was nice to have some fresh greens and the ahi was seared and well seasoned. You could definitely taste the wasabi but it was not overly hot. It was perfect. Don't forget to stop by the bakery next door. They are famous for the blueberry cream cheese scones (we got one and loved it - it's more spongey like cake than a the dry/crumbly scones). We also got the coconut bread pudding and diamond head market torte. Both items taste great but as a peanut butter and banana lover, the diamond head market torte was a winner for me. It's an Oreo base with peanut butter cheesecake and a chocolate pudding with bananas. It's nothing fancy but it tasted great. I enjoyed everything I had here and highly recommend it!

I’ve been to Diamond head grill so many times over the years when I visit from NJ. My family and I love to order and take our dinner to Waikīkī, sit at the picnic tables by the beach and watch the sunset with delicious food. The food is always delicious but so often things are missing. Today we ordered, waited almost 40 min. There was only 1 person waiting ahead of us, and when we parked, got to the picnic table and unpacked, we noticed were missing the sides for the almost 30 stake plate. On top of it, we asked for utensils and all we got was a set of chopsticks. No napkins, no nothing. And we straight up asked for them. Normally I wouldn’t complain, but this has happened several times over the years, and I knew better than to not check. When we got to the park and unpacked and noticed, we all said, not again! Its not the end of the world, but when your bill comes to almost $100 it should be correct. I called and the person I spoke with was unapologetic. Said I’ll refund your fries but that’s it. I wasn’t really looking for anything free but really a sincere acknowledgement and maybe even an apology.. I also said my son is eating his $30 steak like a caveman because there was no utensils. The person on the phone said “well we don’t charge for utensils so… nothing I can do. I just found the whole experience really unfortunate because we once again had a order with missing items and mostly the dismissive attitude of the person on the phone. Food is...

For people that have never been here before be forewarned there is no inside seating only a couple of benches outside but that shouldn't stop you from checking this spot out. What probably will is the fighting you will have to be doing once seated. These little birds have no shame!! You know I almost punched one in it's little face!! (Ok, not really just saying lol) Seeing all the salad I had on my plate why did it have to go for my rice? But now I'm ranting, anyways..... The bakery is inside, they sell all kinds of desserts and pre-packaged foods to go like sandwiches, poke stuff like that they also carry different kinds of beverages. Blueberry cream cheese scones we liked very much, especially the fact that they weren't too sweet and not dry. The banana and pineapple were good. You can order food from the little window outside. We got a mixed plate which consisted of a hamburger patty with gravy, char siu pork and teriyaki chicken. My sister got the Kalbi Beef Rib Plate. Food was made to order so it took a bit but not long. All meats were marinated nicely and well the hamburger patty was a patty with gravy and grilled onions. Very...
