So happy to be back after missing close to 2 years of UH baseball. Stadium has always been great, but it's even better now. I have season tix behind home plate and the new netting they installed will prevent the occasional ball from getting through and hitting me. They put netting around most of the field although it appears there are many gaps in left and right field with no netting. The infrastructure is there, just need to install it he netting. Concessions are very reasonable and the Sodexo and student staff very friendly and professional. Looks like they renovated the bathrooms which is nice, but they were already the best you can find in any stadium the new bathrooms have touchless sinks and soap dispensers which failed pretty consistently. Towel dispensers need to be physically touched which defeats the purpose of touchless sink and soap. Only complaint I have is that the seating areas were filthy. I always keep my seating area clean and take my trash with me, but there was a ton of garbage blowing around from the previous day(s) games including ketchup liquid in my seating area. UH needs to get volunteers to assist cleaning up after games and put signs suggesting patrons pick up after themselves. Most of us do, but our visitors tend not to. Highly recommend seeing baseball here and watching our 'Bows compete against our mainland rivals. Hopeful new coaching staff will be able to bring some much needed comradere and discipline to the team. So far looks...
Read moreThis stadium is beautiful. From the scenic Diamondhead backdrop to the field itself (turf), everything about Hawai'i is put into this stadium. It appears to be well maintained, there are plenty of food stands. Typical menu: burgers, fries, nachos, soda, beer. The portions are generous and the prices are refreshingly affordable. Plenty of souvenir kiosks around as well. For those who are handicapped, the parking is a bit far for someone who has trouble walking, but they did accommodate handicap parking by setting up the entire ground floor in the parking structure to be handicap parking. Every other spot had a cone so as to give space for loading and unloading. There are elevators in the stadium but you may still have to hike to the top to the "nosebleed" seats. This is a great family environment, the crowd was into the game and the played Neil Diamond's Sweet Caroline during the 7th...
Read moreEven after 35 years, this is still Hawaii's premier baseball venue. Beautiful stadium that is designed for maximum comfort and situates the fans right in the middle of all the action. The problem is, that action might elude the casual baseball fan. Tickets are priced affordably, concessions offer a variety of edible and reasonably-priced delights, and the view from any seat in the stadium is exciting. I just wish they didn't divert money away from the project 25 years ago to build the Stan Sheriff so that there would now be a larger capacity stadium, able to host larger-scale baseball events (hint hint MLB preseason or All-Star...
