What specifically are our similar spiritual and humanitarian concerns, which we share together in common? Yes, we have our differences. But personally, I believe, we have more in common than we realize. NOW, I LOVE spirited debates, especially, highly inspired, vigorous, and revealing give-and-take (PLEASE, go to "see more photos" to follow this storyline.) At the very center of one discussion is the image of Jesus the Christ who prominently appears in the upper left hand corner of a remarkable stained glass window, which highlights episodes from throughout our Christ's life here on earth. Here is the debatable ongoing rub. Is Jesus appearing on a cloud as promised during his "second coming?" OR INSTEAD, as some contend, is he riding the waves here in Hawaii on a sufboard? These are the very telling, visible clues as I see it. Wings of angel's appear around Jesus on a blue sky bacground. This interpretation suggests Jesus' "second coming." And therefore, the stained glass artist is faithful throught the panel highlights of New Testament episodes. BUT, the rumours persist. I heard these "murmors" from multiple sources PRIOR to visiting The Cathedral of Saint Andrew. IF this interpretation is accurate, the staned glass designer, was a rogue, playful artist, who playfully portrayed Jesus surfing on a blue sea bacground. And, below just below Jesus, one can detect the foam surrounding the surfboard. So, which perspective is ultimately correct? THEREFORE dear reader, perhaps you must attend one of the church services in order to offer your investagatory conclusion. This friendly, most compelling, inspirational debate continues. The pipe organ and choir music is stunning, awe-inspiring as it seemingly rises up from the sanctuary and up into the heavens. Be inspired and challenged with their Sunday morning service music, liturgy and challenging sermons.

I went to school at St Andrew's Priory, so suffice it to say, I spent a lot of time here in the Cathedral. But on this visit, I was bringing a Scottish Heather plant given for my father's funeral & I just wanted some peace. And I was not let down. The doors were open, the cathedral empty except for the organist practicing. It was as beautiful as I remembered, and a perfect place to spend a few minutes on reflection. Of course I will be back.

The Cathedral of St Andrew in Honolulu is definitely worth visiting, even if you are not religious. It has absolutely beautiful Stained glass, which is so impressive in person. Everyone is made welcome here. You can walk around and look or take a pew and reflect. I have always found church architecture fascinating, and I always feel at peace when I’m within the sanctity of a church.

Beautiful stained glass windows! The service is in the traditional Episcopal style with a wonderful choir and organ. The clergy are also very personable. Definitely worth a stop if you're interested in the history of Christianity/Episcopal church in Hawaii, or if you love stained glass.

Beautiful gothic architecture and masterful stained glass. Parking in the front was $12 for two hours, but it looks like there was free parking in the area. Went on a Wednesday afternoon and it was empty, so the experience and photo opportunities were great.

Became one with two, and two became one. This reality carried my conscience into the realm of true reality, a reality that one can only feel, and not truly perceive, because to truly perceive this realm, would be oblivion. Oh sweet oblivion.
