Just had a spectacular evening yesterday celebrating our best friend's college graduation with a private party in The Hi Brau Room above Aloha Beer Co. Loved the speakeasy vibes & dark & alluring decor & ambience of this space. Absolutely 5 stars - I'd rate our experience higher if I could. Our bartender, Berto, had awesome energy & ensured we all had full drinks in our hands in a timely fashion despite our party of 15 people (grouped separately, of course, due to COVID restrictions). He worked with me to make some impressive Fernet Branca & herbal craft cocktails which were all PHENOMENAL. Highly recommend the Rose Session cocktail if you like smoky but citrus-y drinks. Maddy was also quick to get our multiple staggered food orders in & delivered to us quickly. The Bavarian pretzel & the sausage plate were SO GOOD. Everyone was raving about the pizza, too. All in all, the small service team for the evening did a great job handling our moderate sized party & I was impressed by how efficient they were with all the split tabs. Definitely will be coming back again & again for a Girls Day & to bring our Corgi to try the chicken on the "Pup Menu". Grateful for the $4+tip valet service available & such a good deal for the nightmare that Kaka'ako parking usually is! Wish I would have taken more photos to share, but we were just having too much fun & living in the moment, enjoying celebrating the evening with our friend.

Pup friendly shaded patio areas (front and side) and they always bring us a bowl of water right away which is so kind! Have been here at different times, weekday lunch, weekend dinner time and weekend brunch. Staff are always super friendly and helpful. Food isn’t the best but pretty decent considering their main biz is brewing beer. Love their new red velvet pancakes but it tastes a little better when it’s cooled off versus hot off the stove. Something about baked desserts and i guess with pancakes too, always has more flavor once it’s cooled a little than piping hot. Their summer salad is a bit on the tart side because of the vinaigrette so maybe get it on the side or another dressing. The nutella donuts are yummy if you’re in the mood for FRESH semi mini (they’re not super mini, like big mini lol) cinnamon sugar donuts and warm nutella. And the doggie grilled chicken bowl comes cold so if your pups are picky like mine, ask them to nuke it a little. Being the crazy dog mom that I am, I’m just happy this is another spot I can bring the pups to!

Service was fine, beer was just ok, but food was really unimpressive. We ordered the Truffle Mushroom Pizza ($20) and the happy hour Truffle Garlic Parmesan Fries ($10). The pizza was remarkably underwhelming with no real flavors coming through, just hints of truffle. The truffle fries are described in their menu as "tossed in truffle oil and parmesan cheese," though we did not taste any truffle nor garlic nor parmesan. It looked (and tasted) like regular fries, served with maybe a teaspoon of diced garlic to garnish. Another interesting thing is they used sticky paper prints for their beer flights? That seems like a waste of paper to me? They should look into writing beer with chalk like most breweries do instead of wasting paper/ink for every beer. One thing to note is that this place is valet ONLY. The sign says $4 with validation (see photo), but we were charge $4.77 PLUS tax = $5 total.

Food: 3/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Parking: NA/5 Family friendly: 5/5 Stroller friendly: 4/5 ADA accessible: 4/5 I distinctly remember this place being on the corner of Kalakaua and Lewers st. Maybe there is a new location there? Anyhow, ALOHA beer company has all the workings of a super relaxing brewery. Posted along the Waikiki strip it's a nice place to come and chill. There's indoor and outdoor seating and very welcoming. There are the staple beers, hazy's, IPA's and foods like flatbreads, salads and kids flatbreads. We ordered a kids pizza with chips ($10), Cesar salad ($16), and a BBQ chicken flatbread ($17-18?). To me, personally, the food I ordered was, meh. I felt like it was just thrown together and both flatbreads were slightly undercooked. Other than the food, everything else about this place is good. I'd come back to give it another try.

Aloha Beer Co. is a mediocre brewery experience in the beer-saturated district of Kakaako. I think that Waikiki Brewing has better food and Hana Koa has better beer. But there are still decent offerings to be found here. We tried a bunch of their beers through flights, and I liked their Mellow Waves and Aloha Hefeweizen beers. The rest that I tried were just ok. I wish they had some sort of sour on the menu. For food we got a cheeseburger and fish & chips. The portion size was decent for the price and the taste was passable. It’s a bit pricy, and it doesn’t help that they don’t offer happy hour on Friday or Saturdays. Service was on the slow side. Plus, they have on site parking, but it’s valet only! Overall, I’m not sure why this place is always so crowded and popular. There are other breweries in Kakaako that are better in all aspects.

What a nice pleasant surprise! Had some delicious brews AND cocktails. This is not your brew-only destination, people. I would legit come here if I was only wanting a cocktail. Don’t let the gentle name of Rose Session fool you... this mezcal based jalepeno-kickin’ cocktail will keep you happy all day / all night. Not a mezcal fan per se but the balance of these flavors put this in one of my top 10 cocktails of all barstime. Bacon fondue fries sounds like a lot... you’ll be wishing this was served with a spoon (hey, maybe even a straw!) when it’s all said and done. Finally, an actual beer. 😆 Tried the blonde 👍🏼, tried a different one (can’t remember at the moment - oh yeah! Jefe-Weisen) 👍🏼, and then the Kashmir. Pretty sure I’d start here next time 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
