I train at the Hawaii Kai location which opened about 6 months ago if I'm not mistaken. I love the atmosphere that the gym is growing into, as I have been training there for 4 months and remember when it was me and 2 other people in most classes. Coaching is top tier, and coaches are very attentive, even in bigger classes. I've just recently started sparring and was a little intimidated at first, but everyone that goes to sparring is super chill and not trying to rip your head off. everyone kind of feeds off of each other and learns from each other. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking to get into any combat sport or martial art. All the coaches make it a point to teach us to respect each other, by knuckling up your sparring partner or pad holder, and even teach us how to enter the ring properly. At the end of every class they have us "wise up" and say sawadee kap(hope i'm spelling that right) overall there is not enough stars to rate this place and love what Coach Rich is doing with it.

Our time going back home after 16 years made even more enjoyable by finding a great home gym to train to. Training at Mango Tree Muay Thai was absolutely a blast. Kru Rich De Los Reyes and his coaching staff and team were all very welcoming. The training was great, very detailed oriented and as well cardio intense. The programs fits everyone from professional to amateur novices. Thier gym is fully equipped from bags to weights. Just checkout thier website. If you're in Hawaii, Oahu they have 3 places. Pearl city, Hawaii Kai and thier HQ (Hombu) which Kaimuki. Dont call just show up (down load thier app to check schedules) This place is highly recommended. We are looking forward to coming back here again. Kru Rich , Coach Anthony, Keane and the other coaches that also taught my son - Thank you. To the rest of the Mango Tree Bro and sis. Thanks for the warm hospitality. Mahalo and Aloha.

While visiting Hawaii, I found the mango tree at last minute and ran in there several minutes after class started. Coach Rich let me jump in ( even though I wouldn't even let me come in late if I were him) and one of his students helped me catch up. I could tell, since I've had so many coaches, that coach Rich pays special attention to his students and has a vast amount of knowledge in Muay Thai as well as Fitness. I am so thankful allowed me into that class - I got a good sweat and learned a new technique I had never tried before that seems to be effective. I intend to go back because it was such a cool Vibe and such friendly people. Thank you, y'all.

I have no martial arts experience and found this place while searching google. I knew I wanted to learn a martial art and be able to protect myself; however I wanted a place where it was more than just a gym. I wanted a place where it would feel natural being there and not like I was in a foreign country. I have played sports all my life and enjoy being part of a team and a family. All the reviews I found online said this place was a great place to learn and there was a great family atmosphere.

I started in September 2019 and from the first time I walked into class in Kapolei, I felt welcomed. The coaches are extremely knowledgable, friendly, and really work with you to help to learn the concepts. They push you when you need the extra motivation and they encourage you when you need it. The coaches are great, but one thing I am really impressed with is their ability to translate their knowledge into teaching and getting their students to understand what is being taught.

Classes are about an hour long and they are a great workout. The people who train there are amazing as well. They often take their time with me and explain things to me to help me get better. They don't get frustrated with a new person being their partner and have been extremely helpful and encouraging. The attitude they have and the coaches have towards new people coming to train is amazing and contagious. The staff and the students make it easy to train, learn, and grow. There hasn't been a moment where I felt like I was holding anyone back as their partner and they didn't want to work with me. Everyone I have interacted with has a great attitude.

With all of that said, I definitely recommend this place to anyone. If you're not sure about it, just contact anyone of the coaches and come by for a class. I could write a whole page of amazing things about this place, but that wouldn't do it justice. The feeling of being in class and learning from the coaches and other students is...

I have know Coaches Bernice and Rich since 2012 when they were employees at UFC Gym, and competed in two NPC events under the guidance of Coach Bernice. Due to life events, I quit training for a few years but reconnected with Coach Bernice summer of 2019 and decided to become a student at The Mango Tree. Currently I take basically every class offered, from Muay Thai to personal training sessions with Bernice.

What makes the fitness side of the gym special is the level of dedication Coach Bernice and the junior coaches are able to give to every single student. We have students from all ages, fitness levels, and walks of life - from keiki to professional athletes to kupuna - and everyone is made to feel comfortable and at home thanks to the efforts made to tailor each class to all levels and capabilities. Every day there are classes offered - Hotbox (a boxing conditioning class), TRX, HIIT, and personal training - and they're all intense and under an hour so that you're able to get in a good sweaty workout that fits into any kind of busy schedule. The energy in the room is always upbeat and positive, and I've never left a class without my mood improved.

Of course any exercise program is incomplete without adding in proper nutrition. Coach Bernice has a Bachelors degree in Dietetics from UH-Manoa. Between a combination of her personalized nutrition guidance and the DotFit supplements sold at the gym I've been able to lose over 10 pounds and 6 percent body fat in about 3 months.

I've trained at a lot of different gyms, and The Mango Tree is truly a unique and amazing place. Coach Rich and Bernice's philosophy has always been quality over quantity. We may be a small gym, but EVERY single member and student brings nothing but good vibes and positive energy to the Mango Tree team, and every interaction is motivating and encouraging.

Come check it out and...

If you're looking for one gym you won't regret joining, it's Mango Tree! One word to describe this gym is "Value." As soon as you enter a Foundations (beginner) class, you'll notice the quality and effort put into each and every class. Every coach is very accomplished, humble, and very knowledgeable in Muay Thai. I've been with this gym for 10 months now and not only have my skills grown, so has the value of the gym. It has opened 2 new locations since I joined and you are welcome to join classes at any location. They also added new classes to fit your needs and add to the value to your membership. I've recently looked at pricing at other gyms and for its price, you are not only looking at better value but also high, top shelf quality of classes taught by awesome, dedicated coaches. It's so good it's fun and addicting. You'll forget you're training and only be excited to go to the next class. It's really that good! Both coaches and members are very "chill." I have yet to meet anyone overly aggressive or arrogant. The coaches have taught us to go at the pace of your partner in level 2 classes so you'll never feel over whelmed. I'm 38, if that helps. This place makes me hope to keep training until I'm 50. I normally don't write reviews but this is a place I visit often (3 times a week) and wish to see it grow into something even bigger than it is now. Since I joined I lost 15lbs in the first 3 months and got a 6 pack for the 1st time in my life. I eat what I want so it's...
