Topgun Barbershop Honolulu — Attraction in Honolulu

I received the worst haircut, beard trim, and eyebrow combination by SPEEDY at this shop. I stopped in for a 3:30 appointment. I got in the chair at 4:05. Speedy was a little spastic, but I thought that was just his vibe. Dude was heavy handed with a brush, and sloppy on his line work. I initially booked a beard trim, and he tried to have me walking out with sideburns, and a really subpar fade. I addressed it with him, that’s when he informed me to correct it I would need to pay the full price for a haircut.

His work isn’t quality, and he tries to take advantage once you’re in the chair, and he has already destroyed your hair. I’d stay as far away from Speedy; and the shop.

This is the worst fade, and line work, and left the shop spending 72.00, and have to get a barber to fix his subpar work.

I 10/10 DO NOT recommend.

I WANTED TO UPDATE MY REVIEW AFTER EXPERIENCING THEIR LEVELS OF UNPROFESSIONALISM TODAY. I SPOKE WITH KONO THE MANAGER YESTERDAY AND HE OFFERED ME A REFUND AND TOOK MY NUMBER FOR A CALLBACK. HE NEVER RETURNED MY CALL, SO I CALLED HACK TODAY AND WAS TOLD TO COME IN FOR A REDUND. WHEN I GOT TO THE SHOP A YOUNG UNPROFESSIONAL CHILD CAME UP TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE AND STATED , “WHAT WAS WRONG?”

I RECANTED THE WHOLE STORY AND HE TOLD ME THEY WERENT ISSUING ME A REFUND NOW, SINCE I WROTE THEM A POOR REVIEW.

He also stated that it was his bad, for asking me to come back to the shop for a refund.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP AND USE WORD OF MOUTH. THEY CAN NOW DISPUTE IT WITH MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY, AFTER THEY OFFERED ME A...

Top Gun is hands down one of the Best barbershops on the island of Oahu! Phenomenal quality cuts, amazing interactive conversations while being cut, and just a spectacular atmosphere to be in.

I scheduled 13 haircuts back to back for my Brother’s wedding yesterday morning for all the groomsmen and every single cut was so fresh!

Brother Johnavan, Brother Speedy, Brother Kani, and Brother Tay was putting in work! And I can’t stress enough how meticulous these skilled barbers are. The amount of detail and care they put into cutting, blending, and lining up their clients is pure mastery of their trade.

Brother, if you are looking for a place to get a professional haircut, Top Gun is the place to go. A word of advice though, CALL and BOOK an appointment. They do accept walk-ins but only if they have an opening or no-show that takes place.

I can’t stress this enough, if you want your haircut don’t right go to Top Gun and have your confidence take flight! Literally the best Barbers!

Every single person in that shop is at an elite level of a Barber. Go in with high expectations and I promise they will exceed them.

They have more Barbers but these are the ones that cut me and my Brothers/Cousins hair for my Brother’s wedding. Phenomenal work.

I was growing my hair out for 3 years and spontaneously decided to cut it. Was looking for a place that took walk ins and no one could take me. Called Topgun Barbershop walked in and didn’t have to wait long. Like 15 minutes tops. And they were busy! I got barber Kani. Super welcoming when I sat in his chair. Didn’t know exactly what I wanted but had a kinda an idea. Trusted him and he definitely did his thing! Cleaned me up real nice! We was talking story as if he was my barber for years. Not like some other spots where the barbers don’t talk to you at all. Super professional and his his work station was very clean. The vibe was great! All the barbers were super friendly, and talented. There was a mix of people getting cut and no matter what kind of hair types came in everyone left clean! The shop was clean and there was even a guys that was walking around sweeping up the hair in between answering phone calls. Even the owner was cutting hair. You would think that with 3 locations being that big the owner wouldn’t need to be there cutting. But he was. Located on paea st in the airport center. They also have locations in mililani and koko marina. Though I haven’t been to the other locations I would assume the owner holds all his locations to that same standard. Will definitely be going back and seeing Barber...
