Large central area with permanent stage. Sloping, green grassy lawn area ensures a good view of whatever is happening on stage. Lots of great events are held here during the Summer, including free concerts, plays, and more. Kid friendly, dog friendly, people friendly, but not especially snake or reptile friendly. Can't think of any excuse for this. If dogs are welcome, why can't the dogs bring their pet newts? I guess the Parks and Rec. Dept. are just "not fully there yet". Read moreFamilies In The Park seems to die down a bit more and more each year. This 2nd to last was a great turnout. The amount of E-bikes and even dirt bikes now are a bit of a nuisance when someone's coming right at you and you're unsure of your own footing. The playground is always the busiest place and the bathrooms like always are unkempt and gross. You would think that in a town like Hood that they would be on top of sanitation. Never the case. The bathrooms are decent and there are tables scattered around the park. It's fairly easy to social distance at this park.
