My cousin got soup from here to take home, and they gave her a wrong container for soup because it was a melted mess. When she got home, is when she discovered this mess. She couldn't even eat the soup as there was chunks of melted plastic in the soup. The person she spoke to on the phone refused giving her a refund! They instead offered to make her another soup. Not only did they inconvenience her for the soup with the melted plastic because of using a wrong container for soup, they inconvenienced her some more offering instead to make more soup? So she was supposed to drive all the way from her house, and back to the restaurant to get more soup? She doesn't even live in Hood River that would be a long drive back just for soup..When you make a mistake give a refund people! The guys response on the phone too was this has never happened, and said this more than once I guess. Come on people..When plastic gets too hot it melts! It's bound to happen, and it did happen.
To owners reply: I'll never come here again myself. That's up to my cousin if she ever wants to return again, but I wouldn't be surprised if she doesn't. You'd think you'd at least offer a voucher/gift card towards for next visit or something because often people don't want to go back to a restaurant to get more food..Especially if we have to drive more than a few min, or are busy like working for example and simply don't have time! You need to make it right, not offering a refund is bad business and not...
Read moreTerrible. Where do I start. Terrible food. Worst Mexican food in town EVER!! Arrived after the normal lunch rush at 1:00, no one else seated at the time. Didn’t get our food until 2:10 PM. A few other people came in while we were waiting for our food and for an hour we watched as plates were carried passed us. Before we were about to walk out we explained that we had not received our order and the waiter raises hand in the air and said something like one of the dishes didn’t have the right sauce. No apology, no explanation. Just as we were about to walk out our food arrived at the table. We decided to eat, but only got thru a few bites before we paid the bill and left. An oval plate of BEIGE! No aromas... smelled like cardboard. Tamales were literally flat, very little stuffed inside. Greasy rice, tasteless.
Servers were disinterested, unfriendly, unhelpful.
On top of that I had ordered one regular small margarita, and halfway through the margarita my lips went numb and I began to get a headache. (I stopped drinking it) I truly suspect this drink had been made with a methanol laced liquor. I was feeling the effects of this bad booze all night.
NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE!!
(Trust me, there are many better Mexican food restaurants...
Read moreWow! After driving 2000 miles throughout Oregon and Washington during a 10 day getaway from a border town in SoCa, tried this place based a referral from Hampton Inn.
The salsa and beans that accompany the chips, WOW! Ordered the #21, with shredded beef and pollo, but ordered Mole on top instead of red Chile sauce. Good flavor on the sauces of shredded beef. Moist chicken. Rice had some flavor other then rice. Beans okay but too runny. Mole, it’s their own recipe. Brown color, some hint of Chile spice, a little sweet and very THIN. Maybe the owners could visit The Red Iguana in Salt Lake City by the airport, to try 7 different kinds of Mole! All with thick texture. 7 pm when arrived. Seated but only 2 other tables were being used. Some people outside. About 10 minuets passed when a waiter approached, even though a older female waitress was serving the table in front of us 4 times. But I understand this is somewhat of a resort city and if your not a local, well……. I can survive with slow service. Meal presentation was good. Menu seemed too large. Better then most but not Tucson quality. Pricing reflects demographics of the town, which...
