"LONG POST ALERT, BUT MUST READ"
I'm sadden to have to share this review publicly. But I've tried my best for the last 3 days to contact with management to share my disturbing awful experience.
Here it is day 3 and still haven't been able to reach management, just the sweet operator (day time) lady.
I arrived at the hotel for a work conference Tuesday Morning Feb 13th 2024. I immediately checked in- took my bags to my room and head back to the conference to get ready for set up.
I was at the conference from 8:30am- 5:15pm- without going to my room.
I finally stopped by my room at 5:25pm to freshen up my makeup- bc I was going to dinner with some new and old work colleagues.
I returned to the hotel around 9:30ish. Got to my room- showered and got in bed. Everything seemed fine.
I woke up around 12am bc my neck was itching. I rolled over. And didn't think anything else of it.
Then around 3am, I noticed the side of my right hand was itching.
I then thought- something is biting me. I jumped up- turned on the lights- I didn't see anything.
So as I'm looking around and thinking what could be biting me. I was tired and needed to get some sleep. I decided to sleep in the lazy boy chair that was in the room.
The next morning I was up at 6am working and getting ready to go back down stairs for the last day of the conference. (Still itching)
I showed again- packed up my things and headed down. I check out and headed into the conference. Again- not thinking anything else about it.
My neck and hand are still itching as im working. The conference end and I'm finally headed home. I couldn't stop scratching the bites and started thinking to myself 😳 are these bed bugs bites.
So I get home toss everything that I brought from the hotel- take the longest, hottest shower with sulfer base shampoos etc.
Get in bed and noticed my hand just isn't looking better. I started putting cortisone on the bites.
Still not getting better. So as the night went on- I woke up at 1am and my hand swelled a little more and at this point its red- and hot to touch.
By the time I woke up at 5am it had doubled in size. I get my kids off to school and went to the urgent care.
To find out, I was bitten by bed bugs and I was allergic to them 😳😳🤮.
I was slowly having a allergic reaction to the bites.
Thankfully 🙌🏽 it was slowly.
Pic 1 is showing when I got home from the conference.
Pic 2 is showing when I got ready for bed and started putting cream on it.
Pic 3 was at 1am when I woke up bc of the pain and fever.
Pic 4 was when I was waiting at the urgent care to be treated.
*I urge you all if you stay here- take caution ⚠️. I know no place is perfect. But never have I EVER thought I would experience bed bugs. 🤮 I will never come back to this particular hotel and truly thinking about doing away with any affiliated...
Read moreI'm not used to doing reviews, but this time it's worth it. I waited time to know if they solved something for me, but I see that they didn't. I stayed at this hotel on January 28 of this year. I had made my reservation through the Expedia app, where it indicated the price of $343.72 for the two nights that I would stay. When I arrive to check in, the girl at the reception desk answered me and told me that the total amount was $513.84, explaining that they will charge a $60 per day fee as a security deposit for damages to the room (for a total of $120 extras, since I only stayed two nights) and in addition to the taxes and that it would be returned after checking out. Ok all good, I paid the exact amount of $513.84 in cash, since at that time I did not have the money on my card. I asked them for a receipt, to which they told me that they would send it to my email. I didn't insist too much because honestly it was my wedding day, I trusted them and I wanted to avoid disappointment. It's time to check out on Sunday, I go back to the girl who attended me when I arrived, I hand over my keys and tell her that I haven't received the receipt, to which she proceeds to print it and when I notice, only the amount of $393.81 paid in Cash, which seemed strange to me, but I don't care, I ask her when they will return the extra $120 that I pay for "security deposit against damage to the room", she very kindly tells me that in 5 days I would receive, to my card (they had my card registered in the system), so I am confident that the money will be returned to me. Days go by and I still don't receive the money; I proceed to call the hotel, they do not know how to explain what happened, since according to the records the $513.84 that I paid does not appear, only the $393.84, I send them an email and they only reply that they do not have a record of the full amount, that according to to investigate what happened. We are already in March and I have not received any response. I don't know what happened, if the girl stole the money, or why she didn't register my full payment in Cash, I have no other way to prove that I paid the $513.84, because I paid the cash and I trusted that they had registered it. The truth is that they are unfair, they stole $120 from me and they will not return it to me. I only leave my comment so that the next guests are aware at all times and if they pay in Cash that I immediately give them a receipt, so that what happened to me does not...
Read moreMy organization, Vintage Warriors Inc and I stayed at this hotel for an Under Armour event that took place from April 27th to April 28th. Despite the hotel's appealing appearance, our experience was dissatisfying by the staff’s disorganization. Several days prior to our arrival, we completed an authorization form and notified the hotel through our travel agent that we would require 5 rooms for our group. Upon arriving in Alabama and finishing our games earlier than expected, we called the hotel to confirm an early check-in. We were assured by the staff that early check-in was possible and that the rooms would be ready. However, upon arrival, the promised rooms were not available, and we were made to wait until 4:20pm before being checked in. Additionally, two of the rooms we received had clogged toilets having an unpleasant odor, while the downstairs lobby had a similar foul smell. To make matters worse, during check-out, the hotel double-charged our credit cards. They first placed holds on our business card for room charges and then proceeded to charge this card again for incidentals and room fees. Furthermore, they also charged our personal cards, including mine and our three coaches card for similar incidental fees and additional room charges. Despite our attempts to resolve this issue with the front desk, the staff, particularly an Indian lady (whose name I cannot recall), refused to acknowledge the error and insisted that the charges were correct. It took a week for the outrageous charges to be refunded and this was only coming after we involved the manager, Marcia, who was helpful in resolving the matter. In summary, this hotel's operations are severely disorganized, and the lack of accountability from certain staff members is concerning. The issues we encountered with double-charging and unaddressed room maintenance concerns were unacceptable. If possible, I would rate this hotel zero stars due to the overall...
