Well I was shopping yesterday and there was a very nice young man in line in the Bakery Nancy’s I stepped out of line to look at some bakery goods . I came back he was only purchasing a cookie. This young man was thoughtful and said you were in line sir. I told him you go ahead with your cookie. He went to pay the man running the register was kind of rude and trying to be funny. I don’t know he was a different person . He said to the young man he had to buy more with paying on Debit card or credit card. I really find this kind of business practice petty especially when the young man was a school boy just trying to buy himself a cookie he didn’t have any other change on him so was forced to buy more. These businesses need to understand in the first place that when people come into your store to buy merchandise they are coming to your store but yet you want to charge them extra because of the credit card fees why don’t you just add that into the price of the cookies it’s just another way for them to make more money off of people especially kids .If I had been thinking I would have bought this young man’s cookie for his thoughtfulness you don’t see this everyday. Because I was purchasing $32.dollars worth of merchandise on my EBT card and was concentrating on weather this store would take it or not since I did not see any sign that said they did not take EBT cards so I get up to the counter in this man running the cash machine. He says we don’t take those cards in a voice like I was lesser in society. I replied well then will just put it on my debit card I wasn’t charged a fee for that because I had $32 worth of merchandise. However I was not impressed by his attitude nor was I impressed by his negativity towards an EBT card at the farmers market. I find that very difficult to understand and when I left the store I thought to myself you know I don’t think I’ll ever be back here again I was not impressed at all from entering the store I greeted the baker walking in shouldn’t that be the other way around, it didn’t feel like a very welcoming place in the community. So I’m gonna rate this at a three star for the clerks attitude and a five star for the young man with the thoughtfulness that made it all worthwhile thank you. This was my second time to this business I pass it by it many times in my travels. The first time was very nice experience however this person running the cash machine was not my idea of making it a...
Read moreI always insist we stop here on our trips to and from Ocean Shores! The first visit we purchased one of the paintings on slate of a dog that looks just like ours and the cookies here were huge and fabulous! I was hooked!
Always go inside and see whats new... this time was homemade dinner rolls and mini pies and I cannot wait to share them with my in-laws who are on their way down here to visit with us!
I appreciate the chance to get out to stretch my legs and know without a doubt I will be purchasing something homemade and tasty! I love that I can get what I'm craving and support the local small business owners all in this one cute spot.
I do miss the elephant ear lady who used to have an outdoor booth here... I don't know if she still comes here and I just am not there when she is but would love for her to come back!
I also bought the cutest little fabric apron for my grand-daughter here last time and it was such a great little find! It had sea lions on it... does that say Made in Washington or what?! Stop in and at the very least get a peanut butter cookie... they are as big as a 10 lb...
Read moreI absolutely love this place. We hit it the other day, filled the top AND bottom of our cart, and left spending less than $80. They have an amazing selection of fresh fruit and veggies, and they are way better than anything you'll find at Walmart or Safeway. They even have packages of herbs and spices to take home, and containers of guacamole and salsa that can serve your whole family. I'm very excited about making them my weekly stop, and I wish I had known about them sooner. 5 out of 5!!
Update: They've officially become my almost DAILY stop. All the girls there are so friendly, always working hard to make sure only the best produce is out. They even have a discount box of overly ripe fruits and veggies for only $5 that I grab every chance I get. I've started canning for the winter for the first time in my life. I absolutely love...
