Update: It's been 3 months since I made the original post and my skin has been so clear. I maybe had two tiny little blemishes that I could wash off with cleanser. Even during my cycle no breakouts. I am so pleased with my progress. I haven't even needed to go in for any extractions because there's nothing to extract. I am going in to replenish some of the products as they are so good. They are pricey but they last a long time and they work!♥️

Acne Center Houston, specifically Claire has been an absolute godsend. Back story, I started using skinbetter alpharet (retinol) and it absolutely wrecked my skin. It was beyond purging and it lasted for months, even after I stopped my skin was still not clearing up. Then I found ACH and Claire and after my first treatment, within a week my skin was clearing up! I use all the products just as recommended and if my skin is dry or irritated Claire will simply switch up or hold the application of products to "reset my skin" she calls it, and it works! If you're on the fence just do it. You will not be disappointed. This is more than seeing a dermatologist for 5 minutes that may or may prescribe something that helps. Also not a fan of medications/antibiotics. Now I love my dermatologist for Botox etc, but ACH specializes in acne treatment. Claire went over every single product that may be making me breakout from makeup, to toothpaste, to laundry detergent. I switched all my products to safe noncomedogenic ones. Oh, and I found out that Alpharett contains shea butter which is comedogenic!

I had a big trip planned and did not want to be thinking about my skin and how to cover up and deal with blemishes. I am so happy to say just around 2 short months my skin is clear. All the while getting better and better from day one. I feel confident just wearing tinted sunblock which I never did before. Claire even has me on a gentle retinol and no purging here. I cannot say enough about Karla at Acne Fix. She is truly a lifesaver and a miracle worker. My 13-year-old daughter had been struggling with severe acne since she was 11, and it had gotten so bad that she was losing her confidence and being made fun of at school. As a mom, it was heartbreaking to see.

This review is long overdue but I was struggling for 6 years with my acne. When I say I tried literally everything throughout that time I mean every brand, tool, even that one HiSkin studio which broke me out even more. I started going to Dr. Shal almost 3 years ago and never looked back.My skin and my confidence has improved 10000%. I’ve even referred a few friends here that are now clients of hers. The whole staff is super friendly as well. I only book with Claire now and she takes such good care of my skin just like Shal would. I would literallyyyyy fly from the other side of the world to come here. Seriously. Your only regret would be that you didn’t book sooner. The first pics were before I ever went and when I stopped going my skin flared back up (because I wasn’t following Dr. Shaka orders of not using certain products - im hardheaded).
