Not really for kids (under 13). It's mostly for adults to browse and read about the paintings in a certain era. Many of the portraits are of wealthy and or prominent people. They do have some depiction of Gods and goddesses of the Greek and Roman era. Most importantly, religious events and people you can read about in the Bible. My favorite was the one about King Solomon on the 2nd floor. Another favorite were the stained glass paintings. The Beck building had several halls with two floors accessible through elevator, escalator or stairs. If you get cold easily bring a light sweater. Thursdays are free entry to the museum and the parking garage is only free after 5pm.

I had a fantastic experience at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, particularly in the Audrey Jones Beck Building. Despite being separated by a road, it's conveniently connected to the main building through an underground tunnel. The collection spans ancient to mid-20th-century art, including European, American, photography, prints, and drawings. What's impressive is the rotation of current art exhibitions, keeping things fresh and engaging. Exploring the museum deepened my understanding of global art history. Plus, the free Thursdays and extended hours till 9 pm are a bonus, making visits even more accessible and enjoyable. Highly recommend for art enthusiasts!
