Emergency Room at HCA Houston Medical Center — Local services in Houston

In the ER, the RN I had was rude and could care less about what I was going thru. First got there I told them why I was there and I was thirsty and hungry as I skipped lunch because it was pressed upon me from Dr office get there asap for bloodwork. That RN told me I wasn’t getting anything to eat or drink because I had an upcoming surgery…the next morning and it’s 1pm afternoon before. I told him we will see about not eating and drinking. 2-3 hours later I get a half size water. Again bring up I’m starving and he says I’ll try to find something. Comes back idk how long to bring me a sandwich that was outdated. At that point I didn’t care I was starving and hurting. I was never once asked about pain level or anything. No meds were given. I was put in room 4 I believe or 5. It’s tucked in a corner. It seems like I was overlooked or didn’t care to be waited on. I was moved after shift change and didn’t get to my room on 9th floor until 830. After that 9th floor was the best. Immediately got...

The first 6-7 hours in the ER was good. But then they ran out of rooms in the hospital (beds but no nurses). So they could not move those of us that needed overnight care . The next 12 hours in the ER I was basically ignored. Despite being extremely contagious I took myself to the public ER bathroom every hour. I told them there was no toilet paper, and the next time I went to the bathroom there was still no paper! I had to go get some myself. I had to unplug myself because no one would come even when I beeped the emergency button. Even when the alarms would go off on my machines no one came, I learned how to disconnect and reconnect to turn off the annoying machines. I understand they were very under staffed but the care was non existent. Finally after 19 hours I was moved to the hospital. The care there in the hospital room was very good. But the ER was terrible. I was called the next day about a survey, and told them of my experience but no one has contacted...

The worse experience ever , I was teansfer from Clear Lake ER to medical center to recive procedure, my transfer was arrange by ambulance due to urgency, upon arrival Ibwas placed in waiting romm 4h later nurse came in checked my vital, give me prescriptions and send me home . I went outsid took UBER and my story ends . So I am asking !!!!!! Why I was teansfer to Medical Center , why I was transfer via ambulance , do you have actyaly any experience doctors or nurses running this place , outrageous, I will fight my bill it came in today !!!!!!!!!! 24k , I am asking again !!!!!! For what ???? Sending patient viabambulance to other town to pick up prescriptions !!!!!!????? That's abuse , rip off scam !!!!
