I came here specifically to check out the kayak launch. There is no parking, except for on the side of the road. The sign says parking limit is two hours, it used to be three hours. If I were to park here specifically to use the kayak ramp, I would probably be parked here all day in violate this sign.
Kayak launch is built pretty well. It’s got a few cutbacks and steep steps, because of this a moderately sized kayak or heavy kayak, is going to require two people to carry it up and down. I think this is the best they could do because of how steep the banks are in this area.

Read moreThis place is lush. It is amazing. I have a concern. The path that leads down to the small river.. located directly behind the little playground? The sand has sunken away on that path. Someone should glue some rocks together on that path, to provide safe footing. The other path down to the water is.. a touch janky. It is steep.. with roots climbing up from the ground. I would also put just a low railing down the path. Just something that people can reach a hand out and grab, if they happen to lose their footing.
