I just left this location about 10 mins ago and the guest engagement that I just experienced was not good. I always have a friendly person when I come in and haven't been in for a while due to working a lot. It is my birthday month and I know a perk is to be able to use your birthday discount. So the woman at the register says that you have to have the correct phone number in order to use it and I did not have it because of change of numbers. Well, in customer service, I don't understand why it couldn't have just been honored because I even offered to show my ID. It seemed like she more so was getting frustrated with me instead of helping me. So I just gave her thr 3rd number and the rewards finally showed up. So then she asks me do I want to use my birthday discount. Well that's why we've been standing here the whole time. So why would you ask me that? I felt like it was more so of being condescending. So then I paid for my items and I have a huge billietiae and 2 smaller plants. I wasn't even offered a bag, or tray or anything. She just moved on to the next guest. I'm just standing there bagging my own items. I am an assistant store leader and I would never treat ANY of my guests that way. We believe in hospitality and I expect the same service when I go shopping. I will continue to shop here but that experience was not good. Employee...

I would not recommend this nursery as a place to buy a Christmas tree. Due to weather issues I had to wait until Sunday 12/10 to get a tree. I am a 70 year old partially disabled female. They still had some decent Nobles but help is almost nonexistent. I finally found two that would do and the man who was helping had left to help others....okay fine...but apparently I was marked as his customer, because none of the other guys would help. So I waited. Then I wanted a fresh cut. I don't care what they say...I want a fresh cut. Last year the charge was 10 dollars. This year 25 ....but....that seemed to be up for discussion.....they just seem to charge what they want. So I paid 169.99 dollars for a tree and they wouldn't give me a fresh cut???? So now I am up to 194.99 for a seven foot tree. The lady who was driving me was not feeling well so I was stuck. Next year I will not go near this place and right now I am looking for a staghorn fern.....I will buy it on line before I give this company another nickel. This is the only place I have ever dealt with that charges for a fresh cut on a tree, especially at their prices. ...

If I could leave zero stars, I would. I went to this nursery a couple days ago looking for a birthday present for my mother and, let me tell you, I'll never be going there again. I saw some of the most unprofessional and honestly upsetting business practices I had experienced in a long time. There was an old woman with a mullet, who I guess is the manger, screaming at the young boys who were employed there, calling them "stupid" and being incredibly condescending!!! I honestly was completely blown away. I would never support a business that allows for their employees to be treated this way. And let me reiterate that these were young boys. Some even looked as young as 15. I could tell they were embarrassed and ashamed by the way they were being talked to. It left a horrible impression and I will absolutely not be shopping there as long as that woman is...

My girlfriend loves lemons in her water so the goal was to buy a lemon tree for her to have fresh lemons whenever she likes. When we came to Cornelius, we needed help, and we go a lot. We spoke to a few different people in different areas of the nursery, and everyone was not only incredibly helpful, but knew what they were talking about. They told us about the care for the tree, pots size, best soil, and even pruning tips. In addition to the lemon tree we wanted, we ended up buying a large Alocasia Calidora (elephant ear) with large pot and soil that is beautifully on display in our living room. This place is an amazing place to go if you need help with plants or plant related info. We will be coming back in the future for anything we need in that area. Thank you Cornelius Nursery staff for all of your help.

On my last visits I was happily surprised with the major improvement of customer service and attention. There was a time when the check out people wouldn’t even smile nor even say a simple hello or thank you. They were appalling, leaving a sour note in a otherwise good experience. This time they were greeting people upon entrance, they asked me if I needed assistance and at check out they were friendly and chatty. By chance I found a red Abutilon, which is one of my favorite plants at a great price. But also Calamansi, Plumeria, Rosemary and Jasmine.Actually all my plants come from Cornelius. Anyway, this review is mainly to highlight the big Improvement in customer service.

Spent over $300+ at Cornelius to create a little oasis on our balcony. They have a huge selection and the man that helped us find plants was extremely helpful and spent a good 30 min with us picking out plants! So sweet! However, having spent so much money and time on these plants - I noticed they were INFESTED with mealy bugs. They were selling plants with mealy bugs and I didn’t even notice anything at all while I was shopping and bringing them home. Now it’s spreading to my other plants despite having isolated them. I called and was not offered a solution or credited for my purchase. And now it feels like I spent all that money for the biggest headache.
