(ACN) was founded by Dr. Duong Lai Canh, L.Ac., O.M.D. in the late 1980s. Dr. Duong Lai Canh is the son of Herbal Great Elder Dr. Duong Tu Bao and formulated his first remedy at age nine (9) in 1947. Dr Duong continued to grow as an herbalist and at age the young age of twelve (12), when he was instrumental in saving a patient’s life.

Duong Lai Canh persistently attempted to convince the elders not to move forward with their treatment, but they did not listen to the twelve year old. He watched his elders pour the kidney tonic herbs into the patient's mouth and as they forced the bitterness of the medicine down on the frail patient's throat, Dr. Duong observed the situation very calmly. After A few minutes of silence, the patient threw up and his body began to convulsion violently. The patient began a series of frantic seizures with clear foam surfacing from his lips, but Dr. Duong had already made an antidote of an antiseptic herbal formulation to derail the reactions from the kidney tonic. He quickly poured a cold virus release herbal medicine in the dying patient's mouth. From that day forward he had the respect of the herbal elders in his area, all at the young age of twelve!

At age nineteen (19) Dr. Duong was a well-known herbalist and acupuncture oriental medical doctor in the South Vietnam City of Da Nang. His father had moved the family to Da Nang, from Hai Nan Dou, China after Dr. Duong was born in the late 1930's. In 1951, as an herbal scientist, Dr Duong was representative of new eccentric modality and was known as younger 3rd generational healer. He was recognized in the family of last name Yang (Duong). Even as Dr. Duong's fame resonated within the cities of the South of Vietnam, still many elder herbalists laughed and denounced his talents and healing gifts. Never discouraged, Dr. Duong always kept humility at his left arm and diligence in his right arm. With great focus and compassion he continued to pass practice alongside the other herbal elders in other small towns. He continued to display his loyalty to the continuation of his culture’s traditions still prominently prized from the elderly people in that era. Soon the adoration and respect grew from the other herbal elders because of Dr. Duong's humbleness as a younger generation herbalist who was on his way to becoming a renowned...
