I don't think I could even give this place one star. I don't believe this long-time market, which is one of the symbol of Vietnamese community in Houston, responded really badly to customers.
Today, I bought a bag of citrus orange. I didn't realize until I cut the oranges that all of those were bad. They were all inedible, bad smell from inside. I went there to complain and ask for a refund since in the receipt, they said it could be returable within 24 hours. However, the old lady at the cashier (maybe the manager, they didn't even have a customer service counter) was very rude in response to my complain. They said no refund for fruit but nothing said on the receipt. They didn't even show the sign on the fruit shelf saying no-returnable. They just said "no-return" without giving a provable, acceptable rule or paperwork. They didn't spend time to listen to my complaint. I don't believe this market has still existed for over 10 years with this kind of disrepsectful customer service. I also think they import goods from unreliable source and put in the bag with reputable trade name. This is horrible. Do not go there to buy food or things. This is a disater if this market...
Read moreIt's rare to see a landlord putting two supermarkets in a same strip mall. The competition between those two businesses has been fierce that benefits the consumers. Tan BĂŹnh is the outcome of a feud with Thanh BĂŹnh after the owners decided to part ways - so said the gossip. With that said, Tan BĂŹnh is a mirror of Thanh BĂŹnh except it occupies the space of a brand new wing of the strip. Being rebuilt from the ground up, it gives you a good feeling when you walk thru the doors. The layout is user friendly so you can navigate thru the aisles with ease. Plenty of inventory, hundreds of different name brands for you to choose from. The "mĂłn Än vạt" section is so tempting to the ones on that weight watching diet! Fresh products are also plentiful: produce, meats, fish, etc ... Their pricing is a little tricky since they are competing with Thanh BĂŹnh so you have to watch to see which of the two is cheaper. In my case, I don't really care since I've never spent over a $50 in groceries before. I just don't want to drive around town to save $1 or $2. Overall, a good place to "make groceries" (a catch phrase from...
Read moreRude customer service.!!! I donât want to say all but that specific lady at counter 1 made me never want to come back this place again.
I went to this place on Sep 9th, 2021 around 5PM. I got a bottle of honey was labeled as â$2.49â, even my friend came with me saw that. When I got to check out, it showed $20. I just politely told the lady ( wore a white shirt, station 1) that checked me out to put it back because It was only $2.49 on the shelf. She got mad at me and said âhow do you think this one will be only $2, you should have read before getting it.â
I got really mad but didnât say anything because she is older than me but she doesnât have manners. Iâve been to this place since their previous one and never be treated like this. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO...
