Gyptian Nail Bar — Attraction in Houston

Overcharging and rushing the process for something that could be done in depth somewhere else for much less. Didn’t properly clean under my nails on both of my feet. Didn’t get exfoliated cause it’s and up charge. Didn’t get my cuticles trimmed/pushed back cause it’s an up charge. Didn’t get lotion nowhere but my literal foot cause it’s an up charge. Joy did my “pedicure” that doesn’t include all the properties of what a pedicure is. Didn’t shape my nails to my liking. They have great reviews that say otherwise. Don’t know if it was late for them and didn’t feel the need to try or they’re the ones doing these reviews. The cleanliness of the place is very questionable. Bring already opened tools that didn’t look pre- soaked in antibacterial. I wanted to get more than just one service done but it was very annoying to see how it wasn’t being doing properly from the start. So I had to cancel the rest of the add ons and services. They just threw on some dollar tree lotion (didn’t even bother to take off the tag from the bottle). And the massage that is included in the pedicure 15 seconds long...

I would like to express my greatest disappointment of service I have ever received. I wish there was a 0 star because that what I would give. I am so upset, I tried going there to support women business but it was a nightmare. They overall charged without any professional work. Save your money!!!! Do not go here unless you want a poor job on your nails. It took them 7 minutes to do a pedicure that should have taken awhile considering it was $60. My friend got acrylics nails on her toes and it was $150 dollars and it was horribly done. The service was not enjoyable as she was bleeding on her toes. The whole experience was just -0. I don’t recommend.

Joy was kind, patient, fun, friendly and relatable. She did great work and checked with me throughout the service to make sure I was comfortable and satisfied.

Her salon was trendy/stylish and immaculately clean. I am so happy to see a young African American woman bringing good vibes to the nail industry.

My experience at her salon was a breath of fresh air. Nail salon trips are can stressful and disappointing…not at Gyptian nails!

Her salon had that “girl talk” vibe we all love, comfortable amenities and lots of polish color options.

I left there feeling pretty, peaceful and relaxed.
