Filthy hotel. Needs cleaning and major repairs- do not book it just because it’s a cheap rate. Liked · Location of the hotel is great. Disliked · Starting with the staff, I checked in at the hotel at 10pm. The receptionist was a Pakistani guy who checked us in. He was unprofessionally dressed and later I noticed that he was sitting in the lobby with his friends chilling on Sofas. He had a very unprofessional appearance and demeanor. Please wear a suit with proper tie and maintain a professional standard. Greet your customers. 2nd: the elevator was broken and the stairway smelled disgusting. Whoever owns this, needs to get cleaners and work on making the hotel smell good from entrance to hallways and rooms. Each time I passed the stairs ways to get to my room, I had to hold my breath. The carpet was filthy, which explains one of the reasons of filthy odor. 3: the room we were in was filthy. The ceiling had mold like there had been water damage or water leaks. The bathroom door had paint chipping off. One can tell that whoever owns this franchise is putting very little money into maintenance and this hotel is becoming a health risk with the molds. I’d report this the bureau of business or county health services as this hotel is a health risk because of molds.

I would’ve rated it one star if it weren’t for the front attendant named Raven. She was very personable and helpful. Upon entering the room, I noticed how modern it looked. However, with closer inspection, you see that there are stains everywhere. Above where I was laying, the ceiling had a bunch of BLOOD SPLATTER! I called the front office to get ahold of a much older man. He said “I’ll take a note of it,” and hung up. Shocked, I went to the front and let him know I was very uncomfortable sleeping with stains of blood above me. He said “this will be the last time I do this for you,” and he got me the room next door. The room next door was even dirtier. It was BB’s stuck in the wall. I counted 8 of them. There were also more white stains that I don’t want to think about. I am just beyond upset with the fact that the much older man in the front, who looked like he was chewing on dip, was so rude! I am beyond shocked. I have never had this type of treatment even at a Motel 6. I will never ever come here again and will now think twice before coming to a La Quinta. This used to be my go-to but the Houston location has changed my mind.

Worst hotel I’ve stayed at. To start, none of the doors could be accessed from outside with your room key. The didn’t work. Then walked in to the janky elevator that reeked of weed. The elevator barely worked. It wouldn’t even show what floor you were on. It was so unstable feeling. We were told by another guest the elevator wasn’t working the day before. And in fact wasn’t working the next morning of our stay. Hallway also reeked of weed. Once getting in the room, it was disgusting. Bathroom was filthy. Towels had stains on them. Someone tried opening our door to our room. We tried to look through the peep hole but it was crushed in so you couldn’t see out of it. Stains on the walls. The sink faucet was covered in a dirty film. And to top it off, a roach crawled out of my daughter’s shoe when she went to put it on the next morning. It cost $150 for this room after taxes. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

Only stayed here because my reservation at the Hyatt was cancelled.

It’s sooooo much I can say about this hotel that would not want you to stay here.

When I made the reservation, I requested for a fridge and microwave to be in the room to cut the cost of eating out. During check in, the front desk person was a tad sketchy but friendly. She assured me that everything was set & I had my fridge & microwave so I went to the room & saw it was nicely cleaned until I continued to walk into the room.

Although the beds were nicely made, there was a humongous dip in both beds like the mattresses were never changed since forever. I decided it will be okay for the stay but I then noticed there was no fridge & microwave. Went downstairs to the front desk and alerted her that they weren’t there. And she then proceeds to tell me “oh your room doesn’t have those. They are reserved for Hurricane Harvey victims” First off, that’s something that should have been said before I even checked in instead of telling me it’s there then it isn’t . I let it go .

The first night stay was fine but the second night was horrible . I got back from the mall and noticed a weird smell in my room . Didn’t know where it was coming from so I ignored it since it was faint but later that night, I smelled it again and realized it was marijuana. Smelled like multiple people were smoking it on my floor. I have asthma and the smell made me so sick that I threw up multiple times. I called to front desk from the room phone and got no answer both times but I called from my cell and she picked up. Why have a phone in the room to call down and you won’t answer it? I explained to her the smell and everything and she said that unfortunately there’s nothing she can do about that. Last time I checked, smoking marijuana in a hotel was against the law in Texas. She said the best she can do is move me & my best friend down to the first floor but we would be split up. I know nothing about Houston so splitting up was not an option. We put towels around the door to block out the smell as much as possible but it still came thru. I would never stay at this location ever again and highly considering not staying at a La Quinta hotel anywhere ever again. Never had an experience so horrible.

Only thing I can say is the housekeeping staff is great. They are nice and will actually hold a conversation with you instead of just clean your room.

Will definitely be calling corporate today and file...

I do not wish to be harsh however honesty is often mistaken for being as such. Please allow for me to set the tone/purpose of this stay. My husband and I have been together for 17 years we decided now that the kids are older to have a "break" from the everyday of our lives for our anniversary. Something longer than a couple of hours babysitter so an overnight was decided. Upon entering the front desk employee was on the phone and was trying to tend to that as well as the check in process for my husband and I. We go up to our room and there was a hole in the wall then I check the bathroom and to my dismay the tub was dirty, the toilet needed to be flushed, and there was what appeared to be pubic hair on the toilet AND in the tub. I just couldn't keep that room so I go to the front desk AND AGAIN she is on the phone. I get the room changed and well it doesn't get any better. Before I can even make it to the room you smell smoke in the hallway leading up to the room. This one looks as though it's falling apart not wishing to be a bother we try to be okay with the poor condition of the room. The room had an odor that was a mix of wet carpet, spoil or rotten scent along with mold and mildew. Spraying perfume only made it worst. The fridge wasn't cold, it was sticky, and either rusted or dirty. Then there was the microwave it didn't work, well for the length of time it was to have been heating it hadn't done anything...still COLD. I TRIED to remain positive that is until my husband wanted some coffee. Please keep in mind there was a small personal coffee maker in the room that was RUSTED. I initially thought it was dried up coffee but after 15 times of running water through it the rust stayed and stuff was in the water each time. I then go to the front desk employee who is on the phone AGAIN and she has a nasty attitude about the condition of the room. When she cancels SHE'S the one that had a problem with the situation and not I. So my night was ruined THANKS A LOT La Quinta for ruining my...

At check in Sal was the guy at the front desk. At 1st he was welcoming then became pretty rude very fast. Sal was also very hard to understand as he did not have a clear voice to speak with, talked low and mumbled badly. I had to ask him quite a few times to repeat himself as I could not understand what he was saying. He then said his the elevator was broken and he would put us on the the 4th (top) floor room and we'd have to take the stairs. I am with my toddler son and wife that has a back injury, so we asked for a discount on our room or even a room on the 1st floor. He said no, just straight out no. We stated my wife has an injury and it is difficult to walk up stairs and Sal replied to us "well you should have wrote you needed accommodations when you made your reservation". Feeling offended on how we were spoken to, we asked for a manager and Sal said "there will not be a manager until tomorrow morning, you have to deal with me". Now we are pushing to call for a manager or something to accommodate our stay and Sal says "if you like you can cancel your reservation " and I had said "no, we're here and have been on the road for almost 4 hours". Sal replied and said "ok good, cause we book fast". Now I am getting upset from how we are being treated, the inconvenience from the elevator forcing my wife to be in pain, and now how I am being spoken to. The next morning at check out we asked to speak to a manager to inform them on our stay so far and how Sal had treated us during our check in. The woman up front was more accommodating than Sal was but told us there was no manager, and gave us a La Quinta card with information to someone we can reach out to. I really would love a refund from this stay, as I will not be stating at this location again. Sal was a very rude, not helpful and made this a very...
