Granted, this week is rough, but customer service is bad. Place is dirty and limited food I had to get the menus as she was too busy on her phone typing. Her child lay in one of the cubicles, creating a hazardous condition
The woman kept repeating what she had available, and it made no sense . Btw, all three of us could not understand her. Her voice was so full of something that I suggested to her to write it down on a piece of paper, and she was indignant. As you see from her reply, she does not understand customer service. She has issues with truth also. So when she gets a poor review, she throws ageism and religion.
If you have chicken, you should be able to make chicken dishes. Another restaurant down the street with the same issue had a much better attitude and great customer service.
I don't believe in paid fake reviews and not going back. One paid reviewer was there, and I knew her. There are several other restaurants in the immediate area that are better quality and definitely better customer service.
It's not going to last long in Houston. There are too many choices. BTW, I did not see the defense of bad hygienic conditions or high prices mentioned by other non-paid reviews.
The woman who answered my review with insults about my age? Wow. I suggested you write the limited menu down what you had instead of repeating it with poor language skills. A reasonable request.
You are the most rude person I had to deal with in a long time. You won't last long. Don't insult customers who write reviews. Humility, wow? Really? You are the one with the worst customer service and attitude. Do you see how many reviews I write?
Google needs to stop the paid reviewers or at least get them to...
Read moreIâm editing my 4 star review to being a single star even though in my opinion they deserve none but Google is generous towards such incompetence ! Their bewildering rates are comparable to those of the fine dining restaurants! They charge 14.99 for a chicken karahi (be it any of those on the menu) and serve it in the smallest plastic bowl available which typically is used for appetizers in other restaurants! Upon noticing once home after a 50 min drive with the takeout I was taken aback! I called this establishment and told them how the amount given is just a single serving and wonât suffice for two people that donât require much to fill to begin with! The employee at the desk proceeded to tell me how the serving I received is a âuniversal standardâ! I have been around the globe to many countries (also, born and brought up in the GCC Middle East for reference) and never before payed 1,400 inr/55 aed for a single karahi suitable for a single person! If this was ANY OTHER restaurant theyâd have compensated seeing they had a dud and were unsatisfactory towards a customer in terms of service but no, they assumed that being argumentative would mean rectification! That being said the biryani isnât Hyderabadi anymore but from anywhere else that I donât know of! I tried giving it a shot more than thrice but the non basmati rice, too much chicken and unmixed layers every single time of the biryani make it an immense letdown! Thereâs also been times when the biryani we received had been evidently mixed and reheated with stale rice for the reason of bulk to just complete an order I suppose. Otherwise why would anyone in their right...
Read moreWe recently visited Angara Kabab and Karahi in Houston, mainly because it was one of the few restaurants open late at night. Itâs definitely a convenient spot if youâre out late and looking for somewhere to grab a meal when most other places are closed.
The restaurant has a casual setup, and while the service was decent, the overall experience was just okay. We didnât go in with high expectations, but even then, the food felt pretty average. The menu is large, with plenty of options ranging from kababs to curries, but nothing we tried really stood out as exceptional. The flavors were fine, but not the kind of dishes that make you want to come back again and again.
We ordered a few items, and while they were served fairly quickly, the taste was a bit underwhelming. The kababs were seasoned decently but lacked the juiciness and depth of flavor that youâd expect from a place specializing in grilled meats. The karahi had a nice aroma but tasted fairly standardâgood enough to eat, but not memorable. Portion sizes were reasonable, and prices were in line with other similar restaurants, so at least it felt like fair value.
If thereâs one strong point, itâs the convenience of the late-night hours. Thatâs really what makes Angara Kabab and Karahi stand out. When most other restaurants have closed, this place is still open, and sometimes thatâs exactly what you need.
Overall, Angara Kabab and Karahi is not a bad choice if youâre hungry late at night and short on options. But if youâre looking for extraordinary flavors or something truly special, this may not be the place. Itâs more of a convenient stop than a...
