Ok! This is going to be ugly. Earlier today around 5pm I called and placed a to go order at this location. Love Big City Wings! I usually go to the one off of I-10 but this one is closer like right down the street from my house. So today is buy 1 get 1 free on wings Tuesday (bone in) 😋 My elderly mom wanted wings, she loves lemon pepper. I ordered 10 (all flats) lemon pepper wings for her and the free 10 wings I get I wanted half lemon pepper and half hot. (bone in) I also ordered a small order of celery sticks with carrots and 3 ranch dressings. Oh and a Mountain Dew in which I was told they no longer carry Mountain Dew. (That’s a complaint for another day) It was a young gentleman who took my order and it came out to 25 dollars and some change, great. 6-10 mins I was told it would be ready. Picked up the order come home and the 10 wings which should have been lemon pepper were in a long container and the other 10 half lemon pepper and half hot were smaller separate containers. I get me a few lemon pepper and hot from the smaller containers. My mom gets her wings from the larger container. I hear her saying they are not seasoned. I’m thinking yes they are. Mine I just ate were delicious. I Leave home thinking my mom was just being difficult. When I come back home I noticed wings where left. I go to heat up the few that’s left and my mom was SO right. None of the 10 wings in the larger container was seasoned with lemon pepper LIKE I HAD ORDERED!🤬 Come on guys SERIOUSLY! And yes people make mistakes but this is like the 2nd time in a months span that my order has been screwed up. The last time (and it was in a Tuesday also) I called back up there to this location and the DM, I believe his name was Mike answered. He was very apologetic and I basically said it was fine mistakes happen. Well I’m not in the passive mood this time. This is ridiculous and totally uncalled for. Obviously just getting CORRECT service to the customers is not a priority at this location. So I’m no longer coming there. The spot is popular so one lost customer won’t be missed. I just hope something gets done about the constant mistakes when it comes to customer’s...
Read moreThis restaurant surprised me. It’s a restaurant/ sports bar. The atmosphere is great. Definitely enjoyed watching the basketball and football games on the many televisions. I only gave 4 stars because my waitress kept forgetting things and acted as if she was not interested in being there. She did explain that this was here first week working at this location and she worked at another location. However, I did not feel that was a good enough reason to do your job poorly either. On the brighter side of things, my food was great. I ordered the wing basket which at first I thought was a little pricey ($19.75) until it came out. You get 10 wings and a choice of potato wedges, fries or waffle fries. I was under the impression that the chicken was the very small wings, however it wasn’t, they were bigger pieces, just not the regular size pieces of chicken. Of course I chose potato wedges and you can choose more than one flavor for your chicken. I chose garlic Parmesan, Honey Bb-Q and Mango Habanero. I will tell you this, my food was piping hot and the wings along with the potato wedges were fire. They were so good I ordered some to take home. The food definitely made up for the poor service I received from the waitress. The manager also came out to my table and she apologized for the poor service from the waitress, along with comping my order that I wanted to take home with me. I also ordered a drink from the bar in which was not made correctly and the manager had it remade after trying it herself and realizing it was not good or correct. They do need a more knowledgeable bartender. Big City Wings was great, however they could improve on the bartender and the waitress that served me. The other waitress and waiters seem to be doing a good job with the other tables and a few of them even came over to my table for small conversation and to see if they could help in anyway, which was greatly appreciated. I will be returning and referring others to Big City Wings. I definitely look forward to next time, along with a much improved waitress/waiter...
Read moreIn a city with some many excellent food establishments, this place was a big disappointment. I'll start with the positive, there are games for kids here and the television are humongous. The drinks/cocktails are also very affordable, so most of the clients probably get a bit tipsy and forget about the quality.
Went in here for lunch to sit outside patio, and we didn't have anyone come to take our orders after 10-15 minutes, so I went inside to get the hostess who thankfully was very helpful (youngish black man). However, because of this, we didn't end up ordering any drinks and giving them extra business for forgetting about us. Unfortunately the food was not very good at all. We both got lunch specials (Boneless wing basket and Dirty Bird) that were soggy and seemed almost like it was reheated meat. My lunch special was supposed to come with a "side" which consisted of like 10-15 tiny potato wedges. We also got charged $3.25 per drink even though drinks were supposed to be included with the lunch special. The only reason I got lunch special is because the wings on the bone were pretty expensive considering it was far from gourmet food, like 10 wings and a side for like $18.99... I'm guessing they take advantage of families coming out of Cindercade with these prices.
There was also a marijuana smoke odor in the restaurant patio, but I guess that could have been people lighting it up in the parking lot. I would probably not give this place another chance or recommend it to anyone. You're better off at Wingstop to be honest, although perhaps my menu selection (boneless wings) didn't help. I should have had the bones on the wings, so I could definitively say Mia's Table wings are significantly tastier/bigger and worth the $15 price tag. It is experiences like this that makes me miss the affordability and reliable service/quality that we used to get at the Lucky's Pub in East End which closed during pandemic. Some awesome wings, sides and affordable pricing with a...
