I spend a lot of time at this store. It use to be my favorite Kroger to shop at for my events and marketing. They have a great selection of household items that I buy for senior center bingos we host as insurance agents and the gift baskets I buy for my marketing to doctors are amazing compared to other Kroger’s. I never had a problem .. UNTIL TODAY. I had the worst experience in my entire life of shopping at any Kroger’s. I am use to buying fruit and cheese baskets with no alcoholic apple cider, but today I accidentally grabbed the basket with actual wine. I don’t gift wine and it’s against my corporates compliance to gift alcohol to our provider partners. I asked to return them at another location because I was in league city by the time I noticed they had wine and not apple cider, they couldn’t they said they can’t take returns from another store because they don’t carry that wine. But the manager told me to go back the buffalo speedway location they would have to take it back. I called another location in Galveston and they told me the same thing. So I had to go back to buffalo speedway where a nice young man told me he would take back my return. Just go to my car and get the baskets. Well... I did and when I got back to the counter a very rude lady named Kayla it Kadalya or something like that had the UGLIEST NASTIEST ATTITUDE! She was very rude and the most unprofessional person I have ever met in customer service in my life. I don’t understand why Kroger at this location has people like This working here? I have spent over 10,000 at this location just this year on gift baskets and bingo prizes for my seniors. I don’t understand why they would hire unprofessional people. She greeted me with rolling her eyes and telling me can’t return wine??? She said That the store managers I spoke with can’t made wine return decisions. That I had to speak with a wine manager, she called a lady named Tracy or Tina it something like that and she was also very very very rude and unprofessional she told me what was my problem? Why was I trying to return wine? That they don’t accept wine and why did pay for the basket after they asked my ID for the baskets? I told her NO ONE ASKED FOR MY ID! I assumed it was nonalcoholic apple cider, and she told me In the rudest way in front it like 2 customers behind me that this was the only time that she would accept wine from me? Like I always must be returning wine??? THIS IS THE RUDEST THING EVER, and to top it off the rude customer service rep asked me where did I go get the baskets from! Like she wanted me to put them back. I will never ever go back to this store again. There is an HEB across the street that will be seeing my business and the rest of my colleagues that market in the area. I will make sure that no one on my team buys from Kroger again. I have never in my life met the rudest, unprofessional people in my life especially in the Buffalo Speedway area, I would expect this form a Kroger on Telephone or Cullen but not at...
Read moreBeware of this location selling expired foods. I don't mean just a little bit over the date, but months. One product was 2 years past the sell by date. You really have to pay close attention before purchasing items. I only started noticing this over the past few months, I don't know if they are hoping some unsuspecting customer will take it off their hands so they don't have to count it as a loss or if they are just not caring and paying attention to what is going on. They have been good about letting me return the items but now that I pay attention more, I am seeing a lot of expired items. Unfortunately, I wasn't smart enough to take pictures for proof, but I never thought it would become a problem, I thought it was just a simple oversight, which I totally would understand. Now that I have been monitoring things closer, I see it is a very common issue. Not sure if this is system wide problem or just the Buffalo Speedway location, it is the location I frequent 98% of the time. They are definitely falling short their slogan "Fresh for everyone". If you buy bagged produce it also needs to be inspected as I have seen moldy lemons and wilted lettuce. If you buy anything marked down, make sure it is ringing up the correct price, often times it says the sale price but will ring up the full price. I think this location has really suffered over the past few months, I have been going to this location for years and have not seen these issues in the past. There are several employee gems that work there, but the management seems to not care about customer service. Maybe they are under too much pressure to get the customers money from their pockets no matter what it takes. I try to be loyal to Kroger since I have been such a long time customer but with their higher prices that keep going higher, and the quality keeps going downhill, it might be time to take my money just across the street to the HEB where I have never encountered any problems. I know Kroger doesn't respond to customer reviews but I hope someone in management is paying...
Read moreThey have the worst customer service ever!! If i could give them 0 stars i would. Be careful of what you wear or how you look because they are racist and profile you for no reason. My uncle went to get a few groceries and decided he wanted a steak. He got one from the meat market section but did not realize that 1 steak would come out to $35 dollars. Later he changed his mind and went to the meat section and left the steak there. It looks like someone was watching him because that person came from behind and harassed him and accused him of stealing the steak. Also made the comment "all you people are the same, just come to steal". When my uncle has no reason to steal, just changed his mind about paying $35 for a steak and put it back in the meat section. He told the guy he put it back and the guy told him why did he put it back, my uncle told him he has the right to change his mind if he didn't want to take the steak and he better be glad he put it back in the meat section (refrigerated meat section) than leaving it just laying around anywhere just like other people tend to do. My uncle was so embarrassed of being accused of stealing and left the store with none of the groceries he intended to buy that day, just because he changed his mind about a steak. Too bad for Krogers for not making this right because my uncle was a trusted and faithful customer for years at this krogers location. Alot of the cashiers and employees know him there and I cannot believe that this 1 person harassed him like that. Shame on that guy and God is watching you for treating someone like that. He generalized him just because he was wearing an El Salvadorean shirt, and that shooter from Lakewood was El Salvadorean. Shame on Krogers for hiring racist...
