This review is for who I assume is the manager of the waitstaff of the restaurant, tiny woman wearing all black button down colored curly hair and colorful tattoo sleeve. Extremely rude and disrespectful to paying customers
Went Friday 6/9 at around 7pm. Atmosphere and mini golf was fun however me being 36 weeks pregnant I ended up needing some water and a snack so I went to the bar and the pretty black bartender with long braids half up half down was very sweet and accommodating! Since there was no seats left at the bar I asked if I could sit at a table that wasn’t marked as reserved and she told me it was fine. Since a lot of the tables were marked as reserved with little plaques there was a seating area sectioned off from the main area with a second bar (mind you, only THREE of those tables were being used and the area was pretty much empty) and there were hosts and waiters standing outside the seating area. I asked if I could sit in there since none of those tables were marked reserved and maybe they did not hear me, but they looked at me and did not offer to seat me or anything so I sat at a table with only 2 seats and there was still plenty of space. A waitress comes by with menus and asked if I needed to order and I told her I ordered at the bar already and since I was in her section I asked if they should transfer the tab over. My husband then comes and sits with me and he had ordered alcohol and we were sitting in the VERY EMPTY restaurant portion when a lady who I assume is the manager of the waitstaff comes to tell us that if we were not seated there we could not sit there because the host MIGHT seat another guest at the table we were sitting at at the VERY EMPTY restaurant area we were sitting in. My husband told her if they need to sit anyone there then we will move but we did offer to move tabs since we were taking a table in the waitresses section, to which she responded “No, you need to move now”, to which my husband told her that I will get up and move when I feel okay to do so (I was feeling dizzy because I had not eaten in a couple hours and lots of walking) this is a woman that is denying VERY visibly pregnant seating, and it’s not like we were sitting and not purchasing anything from the establishment we had food and alcohol and as someone who used to work in the service industry if someone moved tables you can simply mark the table as taken!!!!! Especially since I was straight up IGNORED by staff that saw me and didn’t even offer to seat me and since I asked the tab to be moved!!!!! The tables marked reserved were reserved and the table I was at was not reserved and there were plenty of two seat tables left, and again, we ordered food and alcohol. Cherry on top is while I was eating the black male host came to us and said “we need to seat this table”, while there were at least TWO of the same exact tables that were empty. A good staff would of marked the table as sat and transferred the tab over but the entire staff and especially the manager was just extremely rude and unprofessional. The host was lucky that I was finishing up my food when he came over because as someone who has worked in the industry any table with a PAYING CUSTOMER IS TAKEN AND YOU CANT KICK SOMEONE OUT OF A TABLE BECAUSE YOU “MIGHT” NEED TO USE IT. OR SEAT OTHER GUESTS AT A TABLE WITH PEOPLE SITTING THERE WHEN THERE ARE PLENTY OF OTHER TABLES RIGHT NEXT TO IT. We would’ve stayed and my husband would have ordered more alcohol and I may have eaten more food because the pizza was good but this place seriously needs to train their employees a little better on how to handle these situations. And as a woman how would you be rude and disrespectful to another pregnant woman who just wanted to sit down and eat a snack in the EMPTY SEATING AREA. The bartender was great and sweet though and the rest of the staff should learn from her. I made sure my husband took good care of her when...
Read moreTerrible service, every staff member who we addressed was extremely rude and unpleasant. Thank God the manager Natalie saved the day by compensating us for the staff’s bad service. Sadly we won’t come back.
Edit: The specifics are: Rude table server. We sat on an available table to wait for our time reservation and full group to arrive. The server rudely addressed us and said we couldn’t sit there, started “fixing” the table, and asked us to move to another table (dirty tables in the back) because that one was “reserved”. When I asked where the reserved sign was, she rudely again said they missed it but we needed to move. Later I asked for utensils to the same server and she rudely said that she would get them for me in “a minute”. She never did. She was annoyed by our presence and service needs apparently. Bartender: We tried several times to order drinks and food. The “1-to-2-minute wait” took over ten minutes. Bartender was pretty much ignoring us since we were sitting in the back. It was supposedly the guys first day. Later, when closing our tabs took also forever. Lady giving instructions in green course: she didn’t take time to explain the process, she rushed it even though there were no people behind us. She did mention that we could take our drinks in the course but unfortunately not our food. So we sat our food on the tables by the side of the course. Extremely rude staff: She addressed us because we sat our food on the side tables of the course. She said we couldn’t be “back and forth” playing and eating. It was NOT allowed. I said we didn’t know, because nobody had mentioned it and she said that the bartender should’ve told us (as if it was our fault). She said she wasn’t getting in trouble because of us. At this point I asked her why was everyone being so not nice, and she said: I don’t know why they’re like that. I replied: you’re not being nice either, look at the way you’re talking to me. She asked if I wanted to talk to the manager, which I agreed. Manager: the only reasonable person with a service mindset. She allowed me to explained all of the above, she apologized, she brought us drinks herself since they were taking too long, she explained it was the bartender’s first day, she compensated us with a free game card for each member of the group. She said we could reach out to her if we needed anything. Lady in the front (host?): She yelled at us that we couldn’t use more than one free-game card in one reservation. She was very annoyed by our presence apparently. We asked her why she was being so rude and she was actually surprised by the question because she didn’t think she was rude at all. Staff sitting down all around the location playing on their phones and talking to each other. Ironically, there were restroom stalls without toilet paper that needed replacement but no one to do it.
It was a very bad experience. We didn’t feel welcomed at all. I think staff has to be properly trained to develop a...
Read moreI don't typically leave reviews but today was pretty disappointing for a brand new place in Houston. When we walked in we found a person standing in front of a touch screen that promptly told us that if we wanted to play we would have to get on our phone and make a reservation and then go upstairs. Why are you here? Why did they give you technology to do things? Regardless, she dismissed us and I made the reservation for 10 minutes away from the moment we walked in.
I made the reservation for a group of three and when I shared the reservation to our phones it only allowed 2 of us to register for the game. I was directed to one of their touch screens to get us all registered. When we got registered they couldn't find us on their tablets. More tech issues.
At that point it got even worse. We were directed to the "Sapphire Course" where the guy running it along with the "Ruby Course" told us, "They didn't send another to Sapphire did they?". Evidently the 9 holes weren't working properly. Saying he was rude would be putting it mildly. He was frustrated they sent us to him and even more frustrated he couldn't get us on a different course. Finally he couldn't add us to the ruby course and just tossed us on the Sapphire even though the interactives weren't working. I started looking at the holes and realized they were seriously disabled and we weren't even getting what we payed for.
Before we started I'd also tried to pay for a second round but for some reason it didn't go through or I didn't hit the right button on my phone. Weekdays a second round is supposed to be half off. We had planned on doing two rounds and especially after that experience I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and see everything working. Our issues didn't matter and I was told after we finished our first round if we hadn't paid for the second round in advance we wouldn't get that next round half off.
We already had a lousy experience, bad customer service, and you're not willing to give us half off for a game just because we didn't pay for it advance?
This type of golf experience is a great idea but not from...
