I first came here a couple months ago after dinner at Papa's Steakhouse. We were blown away by the view and the intimate space. The drinks were nice and strong as well. So, we thought this would be a neat place to host my sister's baby shower/birthday.
First, I emailed the contact person for private events to inquire about pricing. She informed me what my options were and I told her we'd go with the first come, first serve option. I informed my guests what time to arrive and I made sure I was there earlier to guarantee we had enough seating.
The day of we arrived a few minutes before opening to see a group of people already inside, but near the bar area. We proceeded to the South end to take our desired seats. We knew we would require more seating than the two sectionals, so we proceeded to move furniture. At that point we were approached by an employee who asked if we had a reservation. I asked him to confirm it was "first come, first serve" as I'd been informed. He refuse to hear anything I had to say and kept asking, "but who did you speak to?" After a back and forth I gave him the person's name and his demeanor completely changed. I honestly was taken aback by this because it shouldn't matter who I spoke to if the policy is what it is. I don't think it only applies to people who contact the events person. Anywho, he was much more pleasant and told us if we needed anything to let him know.
Myself and my 13 guest enjoyed the views, the food, and the drinks. Our party took up the entire South end, but I knew we would be spending money, so it shouldn't matter how much of the seating area we took up. My sister was my drink runner and said the bartenders were really nice. We covered the party tab, which was less than I expected. I also made sure to take all our party stuff with us. I wouldn't want them to clean up party stuff. We made sure the only things left on table was drinks and food plates.
Review time!! The views are unbeatable and the bartenders were very accommodating and made pina coladas, which aren't on the menu. (They should be added to menu). The empanadas, popcorn shrimp, and big burgers were really good. They do not have a drink runner until 6pm, so you have to go to the bar for your drink. The restroom is by the elevators, so convenient. I would definitely bring a group of people here again. I didn't want to pay the reservation fee because I preferred to spend it on food and drinks, but you are doing it at your own risk. People starting arriving about 30mins after opening, so gotta plan your visit if you want a particular seating area. Also, we were charged a $50 service charge because of large party I'm told. My sister didn't want to argue the charge, so be warned.
I am definitely happy with the overall experience inspite of the misunderstanding/fee. Also, I've seen the furniture arrangements in pictures, so I know people move them. That's why I moved them. I've seen online pictures of groups of co-workers/friends gathering here, so I don't think my group was any different. I really tried to abide by what I was told...

I don’t write reviews often, the reason I’m doing so is that I hope ownership hears me out and takes some of these suggestions into consideration. The staff is great, everyone is kind and the service is quick. The location/view is everything you’d want from a rooftop city bar, absolutely no complaints there.
Firstly, the seating situation could be improved. There is a section thats closed off that should be left available, as it gets pretty crowded later into the night and the space is limited. On the railings, there should be bar stool seating added so people don’t have to stand around or wait for people to get up, that takes away from the experience! There was also space for a few small two or three seater sofas to be added without their own tables, although I could admittedly be overestimating the space. Also, it would be a nice addition to have drink rails added to have a place to set down drinks when not seated at a table.
Second, which may be even more important to some people than the limited seating, the music selection is awful, to put it bluntly. It was basically pop radio hits from 2017— nobody is trying to listen to Wiz Khalifa or P!NK in a nightlife lounge setting. This is definitely a place that you would imagine hearing low-energy/lofi house music, like most lounges of a similar variety. (If you end up reading this, I am happy to recommend playlists/artists of the nature, DJ BORING, Baltra, Laurence Guy, Ross From Friends, etc.) I think that could tremendously improve the overall feel of the setting. Anything but the current playlist rotation would be a massive improvement.
Third, the decorative aspects are lacking, the bar depends on the view (which is not a bad thing at all, I’m definitely nitpicking at this point). But string lighting, colored railing, small installations, anything at all, would make it a more comforting environment than it already is. But once again, this is not at all as important as the first two points.
Finally, the only other complaint I can provide is the cocktail menu being nonexistent. It’s difficult for picky drinkers, as well as bartenders who have to make recommendations consistently since they don’t have a recognizable menu for people to order house cocktails from. Plus, its always part of the experience to go to a bar that has their own special drinks or personalized takes on known classics.
I hope I am clear when I say I’m not trying to tell you guys how to run your business! This is all coming from a place of “wow, what an amazing setting” and genuine care for the progress of the location— I’ll undoubtedly be taking friends here again. These were all ideas that came to mind when I came the other night with my party, but we were all very, very...
Read moreWhere can I start as this is my very first review. This bar was such a vibe to visit. I came to Houston to visit a couple of friends and saw that I had to check this bar out. Let’s talk about some key highlights.
There will be a line on a Saturday night as this place has been really popular on tik tok and instagram and I can tell you it was worth the wait
Drinks are in plastic cups but I totally get it we are so high up if glass falls from the railing someone from the line downstairs could get hurt but maybe some better presentation cups like I saw on instagram wish those were the cups they had for some more improved presentation
The Music!!!!!! Man the Dj was Awesome playing everything from old school R&B, to afrobeats, to Latin! I love me some Bad bunny!
None smoking patio bar. Guys throughout your night you will hear the Dj remind the guests about smoking on the patio and the security will walk and ensure that as well. Please don’t be the gentleman next to the Djs booth and be asked multiple times to put out your cigarette then you will have to get management involved. Plus you could honestly tell the dj was a little bothered from it as he kept reiterating the house rule on his microphone.
The service! I read some of these previous reviews and was kind of on edge to see what I would experience I did get my first drink at the bar with Brandon when I say this young man was amazing he was very knowledgeable and knew what I wanted when telling him the type of spirits I enjoyed. He recommended the Tropical paradise and let me tell you that drink was awesome and the kick of redbull definitely helped during the long night on the rooftop. My friends and I were able to get a section for the 4 of us as they already had reserved areas and some were not yet reserved. We were greeted by Ms.Daijah who was very lively she did recommend the wings and pepperoni flatbread to share so we did that and we all got another cocktail I went ahead and had a blueberry mint mule and that was sooooo refreshing. The food did take atleast 45 minutes to get to us but we didn’t realize it due to us dancing lol. Overall the service was pretty good just know your food will take sometime
Lastly this wonderful bar would have gotten a 5 but the cushions!!!! Please please please get new ones I felt like I was sitting on the metal frame half the night. Lastly more light up tables we saw these cute ones out and definitely need more to set the mood up there.
Overall it was a wonderful evening I will be...
