On August 12, 2025 I visited from out of town to attend a concert at the Toyota Center. The concert was amazing, but the experience leading up to the concert with the staff was unacceptable. I made sure to look online to see if my bag was the right size and it was And as we were getting ready to go into the concert, they brought these small little tiny black box looking things with an empty middle space and claimed this is the right size that is allowed to come into the concert hall. They brought that out 10 minutes before they were supposed to open the doors and then expected to get a mob crowd to get into a single file line to walk inside of the concert hall. Seeing as your professional business and you operate and hold concerts and basketball games almost weekly throughout your year, you should have your way of getting people inside of your building somewhat at a professional standard. At that point thousands of people were expected to get out of line to go rent a locker to put their bags inside when everyone thought they had the right size bag. The next thing that was a problem was there was no communication that a light stick would be sold at this concert so people brought their light stick that they already had for this group with them to the concert. exactly at the same time that they came out 10 minutes before to talk about how your bag needed to be a certain size to fit in this box they then proceeded to tell people if you did not purchase your light stick from the merchandise stand. You could not bring your light stick into the building. Seeing as I did not drive myself, I was dropped off. I was now infuriated. I decided I would throw my bag away and try to stuff all my stuff into my pockets or self but once they told me, I could not bring my light stick in I then was forced to have to rent one of the lockers on the side because I was not going to throw a $70 light stick that I purchased beforehand in the trash just so I can go inside of the concert hall. And then after begging someone to save my spot so I could rush over to rent a locker and return to get back inside I see fans walking around with their personal light sticks that I know were from home because they had rhinestones glued to them. A Kpop concert is a whole experience and have a light sticks is a part of that. And because I respect Authority I missed out on that experience. And what made it worse was that the rule was not enforced on everyone else. It was unorganized and improperly prepared for an event that caters to thousands of fans. Due to my experience with the staff being rude and inconsiderate to paying customers, I will never return to the Toyota Center for any concert ever again I will go and put my...
Read moreI absolutely hated the experience with the staff. Recently went to see Twenty One Pilots. They gave us number wrist bands so we wouldn’t have to stay all day and we could just come back before the show would start. I had number 53 on my wristband, but when we came back, there were at least 200 people already in line OUT OF ORDER. We noticed a crowd of people around some employees that work for the venue and they were CUTTING OFF OUR NUMBER WRISTBANDS!!! They replaced them with plain green wristbands that they probably got out of a random box they pulled out from a closet. Worst of all I kindly asked if I could at least keep my numbered wrist band to frame it and she just shrugged and laughed at me! ( there was a older woman cutting them all off and keeping them not letting anyone keep them ). They DID NOT HONOR THE WRISTBANDS!!! I’m never coming back here again for a concert. I heard multiple complaints in the line as well how they’ve experienced this same venue NOT HONORING WRISTBANDS for Paramore and other concerts! Also as soon as doors opened and we were next in line they told my friend he couldn’t bring in his bag?! It was the size of a purse!! They wouldn’t let him in so he decided to just throw it away. Once we were in we saw multiple people with clear bags that made it in?! I even witnessed a girl that came a little after me that had a wristband numbered 10 and they simply did not care and told her to get in the back of the line after cutting off her wristband and giving her a green one. Although they made a special line for those people in front that still had their numbered wristbands ( at least 20-30 people ) THAT WEREN’T EVEN NUMBERED IN ORDER. OVERALL IF YOU WANT TO BUY GENERAL ADMISSION I RECOMMEND YOU GET HERE AT 8am because they attempted to honor the FAN LINE and not the WRISTBANDS but they failed either way. ALSO when you get general admission go home right after, get ready, AND GET BACK IN LINE. Otherwise you’ll be sent hundreds back. Even if you have a higher number then 100! Does not matter you have a better chance at getting barricade when you stay in that line. Because otherwise they will not put you back in numerical order.
Picture 1. Was our spot in line when we got our blue number wristband so that we were guaranteed our spot in line.
Picture 2. Is after I got my numbered wrist band and was guaranteed my spot in line.
Picture 3. Is the ugly green wristbands they replaced our numbered ones with. They cut off our wristbands, didn’t let us keep them, and WORST OF ALL weren’t guaranteed our spot in line
Picture 4. Is our spot in line after getting our numbered wristbands cut off our wrist and given our green wristband they then told us to go to the...
Read moreI recently attended Enhypen’s concert at the Toyota Center in Houston, where I purchased Deluxe VIP and attended both nights. While the performances were truly outstanding and the staff on-site were kind and helpful, the overall organization and management of the event were extremely disappointing.
On both days, communication regarding check-in and queuing was inconsistent and last-minute. For Day 1, the details email was sent only 8 minutes before check-in began. For Day 2, one email was sent the night before with specific instructions, but the following day a second email was sent with different times and details. These last-minute changes caused significant confusion and stress for attendees. I have attached screenshots of the emails I received with their corresponding dates and times.
In addition, the queuing system for soundcheck was handled very poorly. When we were in queue staff pulled people from the back of the line and placed them ahead of others, stating it was based on wristband numbers—something that was never communicated in advance. If that was the intended system, accurate instructions should have been provided prior to the event.
The waiting conditions outside the venue were also unacceptable. On Day 1, attendees were left standing for hours in both extreme heat and then heavy rain without proper shelter. On Day 2, I personally witnessed multiple people suffering from heat exhaustion and even possible heatstroke while waiting outside. I myself nearly experienced heatstroke but was fortunate to find some shade and stay hydrated. While weather cannot be controlled, the organizers should have prepared shaded or sheltered waiting areas to ensure attendee safety, especially given the extreme Texas climate.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time I have had such an experience at this venue. I have attended three previous concerts here, and each time the organizational issues were just as severe. After giving multiple chances—including this event, where I attended both nights—I must express that I do not plan to return to this venue due to the repeated poor management.
I want to emphasize that the staff members at the event were polite and did their best to assist within the circumstances. The fault lies with the event organization and planning, not with the individuals working on-site.
I hope this feedback is taken seriously and improvements are made for future events, as the fans and the artists deserve a smoother, safer, and more...
