Sagemont Church — Attraction in Houston

Absolutely struggled with whether to write this review or not, but in the end the truth is the truth and hopefully leadership can take my criticism as a chance to make positive change. I attended Sunday service last November, the day before the SBTC annual meeting that Sagemont was hosting and was just amazed at the grounds, and the facilities.

Just a beautiful campus and lots going on and the preaching was spot on, but…I arrived in the foyer around 8:40am and I looked in the cafe the connection center and it was strange because in the 20 minutes I walked around and even sat in the foyer at the front entrance not a single person said, hi, extended a handshake, or welcomed me. Except for the lady at the entrance who said Good Morning not a single person approached me, even after I decided to sit and for a few minutes next to the main entrance, the greeters extended handshakes and offered greetings to seemingly everyone around me. I have never felt so invisible, again I was so excited to visit but the people felt so very cold, I mentioned to a friend of mine who is on he executive team of the SBTC that evening and he just was flabbergasted.

Church family, we got to do better than that, I was an exhibitor from out of town, no harm was done to me by my visit there, but I shudder to think that someone could walk into such a magnificent facility in Spiritual need and seeking comfort and grace and come out feeling dejected because nobody acknowledged them. Well, I haven't been to a service yet , however, i just moved to Houston, and I couldn't help noticing this giant white cross visible from my house and actually for miles sometimes .. so I went to check it out ... it's the biggest, coolest, most giant cross !!!! Everything is really big in Texas . The church building and grounds are absolutely beautiful with a pond around the giant cross......SO this Sunday, march 1st, 2025. I will attend a service and see if the love, faith, and truth are as big as the cross they display!!! If so, this will be my church home ... and I will contribute as much as I can to areas they may lack ... I don't attend church to receive. I ATTEND TO CONTRIBUTE !!! may God bless my visit, and may this congregation be as big in faith and love as that big TEXAS CROSS!!! OK. Just attended a service. THIS PASTOR CAN PREACH!!!!!! I absolutely loved it .. the love here is much much bigger than that huge cross... from the moment I parked in the lot in the first time visitor spots .. till I left .. These people are an embarrassment to Jesus Christ the love of God and a ministry these people are the worst church I have seen in the last 20 years I come to mingle with people be polite and respectful and talk to people they would not allow me to be myself they tried to put me in a private room make me feel out of visitors card and gave me eight different police officers to sit there and talk to me and interrogate me it became a police interrogation site instead of the house of God this is a way to turn people away from Jesus what an utter insult the teachings of Jesus are and they wonder why people are turning to Lucifer in hell and don't want to hear about Jesus because they turn them away from the church then they preach salvation and going to heaven but nobody wants to hear what their church when they're more involved than politics and how they can make money for themselves and make themselves look good then they can't help the people of their Church their police and their security are an embarrassment to society in their church is degrading and embarrassing to the people who come to their church and need help what an embarrassment to Texas and embarrassment to Douglas Lloyd Logan and embarrassment to George Houston Police department your church sucks if that's the way you Christians feel I'll be glad to enter into the kingdoms of hell instead of...
