Tacos El Vaquero Arre Lulu — Restaurant in Houston

The food is pretty food, it's not the best thing I've ever had but it's also not near the bottom of our lists. The prices are a bit high but everywhere is like that right now.

But let's talk about the service: the owners of this place need to shut down for two weeks, rehire new staff, train heavily and start fresh.

I think they got in over their head when they opened a storefront and are not at all ready to handle the business in this capacity. The waitresses have absolutely no idea what they're doing. They are visibly lost, confused, worried and rushing. Every single order that comes out sits at the window for a minimum of 10 minutes - we watched. And when they finally grab it they consult each other and every receipt before they can figure out who it goes to. The restaurant is very small, they should not be having that kind of trouble. It took us 1.5hrs to get through our lunch. We had to wait at the counter for 15 minutes just to pay because it takes them 5-8 minutes per customer to cash them out. We saw several people get very irritated and either walk out, cancel their order or go up to the front to ask about their meals.

If they don't get their ish together soon, they will not last. The food is good but the service will kill...

Saw this place on instagram and decided to try it out. The waitress brought over a small cup of beans a la charra that were tasty so that was a plus. Chips and salsa were not free but they were delicious and worth ordering. My husband had the huarache which he said was good. I ordered the birria ramen and unfortunately it was cold. I guess the noodles are premade and sitting in a cooler then they add the birria, but instead of warming up the noodles, it just managed to cool down the food. I was a bit disappointed in that. The service was decent but the atmosphere felt chaotic with the music a little too loud. I'd like to try them again, as there are a few things on the menu I really want to try, Will return and I do recommend (just hope they change how they preapre the ramen).

I want to add to this review and change star from 3 to 4 because I ordered a doordash meal of the huge multiple street taco take outs and it was AMAZING!. We had a small gathering at the house and these were a HIT. Forget the pizza and get...

I visited on June 7th and ordered the 5 street tacos ( bistec). I waited for 30 minutes and there was no sign of my order being ready. I got up and tried asking for a refund first lady went to check on my order then said 5 more minutes I told her no and that I want my money back then she ignored me and began taking someone else’s order. Then this other employee comes and I ask her can I have a refund she said “no you can’t .. just wait 5 more minutes”. I told her no that 30 minutes is a ridiculous wait for only 5 tacos and she replied very aggressively and began screaming “well I cant give you a refund”. After a lot of back and forth someone finally gave me my refund. To sum it up HORRIBLE SERVICE. RUDE EMPLOYEES. WONT BE BACK TO THIS PLACE. ———————————————
