We booked this hotel after a 16+ road trip and we were just looking for a place to rest up before continuing our trip. I specifically booked this hotel for the advertised breakfast and fitness center (a must after a long drive!) Check in was weird– the employee seemed extremely dazed out and couldn't get through a sentence properly. He never told us what time breakfast was. When we came down to use the fitness center, it wouldn't open with the room key, nor did front desk have "the right key" to open it. In the morning, we came down for "breakfast" which was just bread, cereal, and cookies... No eggs or breakfast proteins whatsoever. Thankfully, there is a Tim Hortons in walking distance. Also, the TVs don't work... It just says "no signal," which I heard another guest complain about, too. The only saving grace was that the Executive Suite was a decent size (we got upgraded) and the bed was comfortable. This place looks run into the ground.

Service is terrible, they don’t give more then one face towel, bath mat and hand towel. On top of that the place is infested with roaches. Im currently on a birthday trip with my sisters and we asked to relocate to another room however. . . We still were welcomed with roaches!! THEY NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN BECAUSE THERES TO MANY REVIEWS ABOUT THE SAME PROBLEM AND THEY OBVIOUSLY DO NOT WANT TO FIX IT! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!

I was recently there September 28th for a quick drop off. One thing the hotel doesn't tell you is that there is a large pothole in the center of the front entrance by the gas station. I hadn't been able to see it since it was dark and not lit, so my car had slammed into the ground and got completely messed up. Now my car won't start and the hotel won't take responsibility. An apology is definitely not going to fix my car.

By far one of the absolute worst hotel experience, experienced in my adult life if I was paid a large sum of money to refer someone to this hotel I would pay to have the person stay clear so grateful it's OVER!!! Let's start with the fact that my room was booked back in April I called same day I booked to inquire about early check in Marner advised I could just need to pay the early check in fee. Fast forward 4 months later early flight go straight to the hotel be advised that there no vacancy so no early check in so my family and I are forced to drive around for 7 hours just about an entire work day. Fast forward we return back to the hotel to be advised that our room is in fact no longer available they can try to accommodate with a 2 queen room kind of wanted to room we booked but ok. Was advised in that moment we could just decline the offer and the booking agency won't charge us. We decided to just take the room what a bad decision this would be. The room was subpar to say the least and from the time we entered the I had a pounding headache one that a nap or food didn't help at all so I started looking around the room where mold and other awful conditions. I went to the front desk to report it to check in lady the first time she was away from her desk the second time she were taking care of gas and I tried to be es discreet as possible so she advised that there were no other rooms and that she did try to call other Affiliates associated with your hotel however couldn't get anyone on the phone so we had to leave and find another hotel last minute I asked for a refund considering that the reason why we had to leave was not our fault and was told that at that point she could not authorize a refund and that I had to reach out to management I have been desperately trying to reach out to them for the last 5 days to no avail I would love for someone to get back in contact with me for a full refund in case your still confused as to if you want to stay here....here's your...

Sonesta Essential (Formerly Comfort Suites) is by far the worse hotel I’ve stayed in. When I book it was booked as Comfort Suites but when I arrived it said Sonesta Essentials. While checking in I was told that the elevator was down and I would be on the third floor. Because I have a hip problem I asked if there was a room on the first floor and the answer was no. Ok, I let that go but when I get to the room there is one wash cloth, one towel, and one hand towel. I booked for 2 adults so I went downstairs and asked for more towels and washcloths. I was told that the room already had what was allowed. So we are supposed to share a wash cloth and towel? I was so confused like make that make sense. To remedy that issue I went to Walmart and purchased towels and washcloths. The room was big and pretty clean, but anyone that knows me knows I come with cleaning supplies to make sure its clean to my standards. I was getting dressed to go out to dinner and looked all over for the ironing board that is suppose to be with the iron. Nope, no ironing board anywhere to be found so I did what I use to do in college and used one of the towels I purchased and ironed on the desk. Day two comes around and just to see what the answer would be I asked if I could get towels and washcloths for my room. I was told I was not on the list for today. What??? You mean to tell me if I did not purchase my own towels and washcloths I would have been stuck using the dirty ones from the day before, that is just disgusting. When I checked out I did inform them to not charge me for additional towels because those extra ones were the ones that I purchased since they were rationing them out like there was a shortage. I was very disappointed and will not be staying there in the future. The quality has gone done to about a 1 if I can...

DO NOT STAY HERE!! An employee I made a complaint about is HARASSING ME and has called me 10 times at 3:00am???

I stayed here WEEKS AGO!! And made a complaint because one of the staff had called the cops on me for “trespassing” into a room that SHE let me into where MY stuff was at.

I had just got back from swimming and left my key in the room and I asked her if she can make another one but she said my name wasn’t on the reservation. My name wasn’t on the reservation because someone the day before had messed up and my booking didn’t go through but I didn’t know this because my key was still working. She decides to go check the room to see that my stuff is actually there but made me stand outside the hotel in a bikini& towel at 12:00 am because I “technically I didn’t stay there” She checks & sees that my stuff is there allows me to go in then tells me Im trespassing and calls the cops?! When the cops come I talk with him and turns out she had completely lied which was obvious because my stuff was in the room and I was in a bikini. He said I have to make another reservation which I did but she would not check me in because that would be “early check in” (which I would have been happy to pay for). I could have just stayed in the same room and left my stuff there, but instead she thought the better idea would be me sleeping in the lobby so I did exactly that.. I posted a video of the whole ridiculous encounter on YouTube with the hotel/employee name and i just had to make a police report about the harassing phone calls.. She would literally just call and hang up so I couldn’t even tell her to STOP CALLING ME AT 3:00AM! It’s an excellent hotel that is really clean but being harassed by...
