La chingada Mexican Cuisine — Restaurant in Houston

The restaurants name definitely lives up to its potential because this restaurant took my brother and I a la chingada ! Worst service experience ever and the food was just as bad, save your money. My brother took me out to eat here it was our first time ever and unfortunately we will NOT be coming back here ever again. Our waitress had zero logic and just kept making excuses for the kitchen staff. We arrived first than another family of 3 and our food was given to us way later than them, mind you that family ordered a machete (one of their biggest items on the menu) and other things that were time consuming to make. whereas my brother and I just ordered 2 breakfast plates and two drinks. First of all the amount of time they took to make our food was longer than any restaurant I’ve been at. Second of all the food didn’t even taste as good as we thought it would. I ordered huevos rancheros on top of a pair of fried tortillas with bacon. When the waitress gave us our food my plate didn’t have any fried tortillas, bacon, and no ranchero sauce anywhere in sight. I was truly disappointed, I informed the waitress and her excuse was “im sorry the kitchen staff aren’t organized right now they’re going crazy, but i will bring you the bacon once it’s done and the sauce will be handed to you separately.” Like what ??? If you’re going to give me my plate already then it should be prepared just how I ordered it. Also the kitchen staff excuse is NO excuse whatsoever. La Chingada is a restaurant food chain business that should have organization and their priorities straight by now. It’s not a new restaurant at all. I told her about the tortillas and she went ahead and brought me regular comal tortillas in an aluminum foil, I told her how the plate came with fried tortillas and she was going to take them back but at this point I was pissed and just wanted to eat and go. I thought the food might make it worth it, at least since the service was terrible but to my dismay the food was just as bad. The only thing I liked was the strawberry smoothie I got. My brother got a regular breakfast but in the menu it didn’t say it came with potatoes so he ordered a separate order of potatoes. when his plate came it already had potatoes. He didn’t even eat them because he didn’t like how they tasted, which is crazy because he is not a picky eater no one in our family is we are Mexican. we all thought the potatoes would come out crispy or like fried and seasoned like your regular breakfast potatoes, but these came out basically just boiled and mixed with salsa. There was absolutely no reason for anybody to act like crazy or unorganized like if it was rush hour because the only people that were there was a family of 3, my brother and I, and one married couple that’s it. I ordered and my food came close to 20 minutes later. Not a lot people when i got there. It was around 10am on Saturday. While waiting for my food the waiter (Guy with Pink or red hair not sure the color) never came by to refill my coffee or let me know why it was taking so long. When my food arrived (chilaquiles with eggs) i proceeded to add salt and pepper to the eggs. I didnt have any silverware so asked to get some in the mean time i grabbed a chilaquile chip and noticed it was cold. Felt the eggs to see the temperature and they were also cold. Let a server know and he said they would fix it. Two to three minutes later I got a new plate. Well it wasn't. Not sure if they microwaved it but the eggs were the same ones I had before because the salt and pepper I had added were still on them. At that point i had been there more than anticipated so i got up and told them to charge me for the coffee because i wasnt paying for the food. i told them that they gave me the same plate, but the server said that it was a fresh one. I said it wasn't and to charge me for the coffee since i did drink a cup. He said not to worry about the coffee and just apologized. This server was not my initial waiter. I got influenced by social media to come to this place. First try was on a Saturday it was full and waiting time was 45Min. We thought oh maybe this is good. DONT LET THAT FOOL YOU!!! We came back on a week day, place was semi empty. Our waitress was rude and quite honestly for the prices they charge the place is not worth it with the decor and ambience. We proceed to order and one of the dishes we ordered was not available. Waitress waited 20-25 to let us know that dish was not available. I would say poor communication in btw kitchen and waitress. How as a server you would not know what’s available and what’s not? From there all went downhill. For starters food was not so great tasteless, service was awful and not so worth it the hype. To top it off the original dishes we ordered which cost more that what we finally ordered were charged to our bill not reflecting the new dish price. I have to tell them about removing and changing the price in my bill. Please if you visit pay attention to your bill as they Can overcharged you!! Needless to say I will never come back….
