Manager lied and said they do not take perfume nor cologne returns. The policy states as long as the item is not open nor tampered with , you have the original receipt, and the tag is still on the item, they are to accept the return. This store is breaking policy and I feel discriminated against. Then was asked to see my receipt while exiting the door. I paid over $50 dollars for the item and they are going against their own policy. I will be seeking legal guidance. The $50 plus tax they just refused to return might cost them more in the long run.
UPDATE- I called Ross customer support number and was assured the store did NOT follow policy and they would be following up to make sure the entire store is retrained/informed on policy. The customer service rep was great and also notified the General/District Manager. I then was later on contacted by the same store manager that refused my return and told she apologize and that I can come in and make the return. I wonder how she felt having to admit/bow down and DO HER JOB which she should have done in the...

Read moreMartina in dressing rooms refused to count my clothes that I was buying, ehile they were off the hanger. She told me I had to bring them all out on the hanger even if I was buying them, so that she could count them. Said it was "policy". If I gave her all my clothes in a pile, and wasn't buying any, that's still not my job. Claiming it's policy, and wasting my time to explain her laziness and having me read a sign, that said NOTHING about having them on a hanger when we leave the dressing room. They only have to count to 8. Can't be that confusing. Absolutely BONKERS. AND, AT THE REGISTER they want you to remove the hangers for them. I thought I was being nice putting the clothes I didn't want back on hangers. Ya know, common courtesy. Then I get scolded like I did something wrong for not doing HER job or making it EVEN MORE easy for her, while she makes mine more...
