I just had one of the roughest experiences in a hotel in my life. This hotel was disgusting and the staff/management did not care to fix. Please refer to the pictures.
I checked in on a Friday afternoon around 5pm. I walked into my room and needed to go to the bathroom after a three hour drive into town. I then noticed pubic hair in the toilet from the previous guest. I was grossed out but thought, ok I’ll just flush and try to forget. I then flushed and a very weak flush turned into no flush. The toilet stopped working and I called the front office. They sent up a maintenance worker who was very nice and fixed the toilet within the next hour, changing out parts and then testing to make sure it worked. I was surprised that the front office didn’t move me since I had just checked in or even call to make sure that everything had worked out but I didn’t think more about it.
Here’s where the real problem started: the next morning I got up early to go out to NASA since I’ve never been. I was in a hurry and jumped in the shower and was about to use the wash cloth and saw that it had more pubic hair on it. I then looked down to the shower floor and saw more pubic hair, all over the floor. I realized that no one had cleaned the restroom and hopped out and went down to the front desk, however not before realizing that the coasters were also dirty and the duvet was poking out of the cover.
I let the front desk know and the nice employee there opened a case and told me that they would be cleaning my room, that a manger would reach out and apologized for the inconvenience. I was grateful for her help and left for my nasa tour. When I returned my room looked fine and I moved on. That is until the next morning when I was in the shower again and realized that there was still the same pubic hair in the shower and that no one had cared to clean it. I knew they had been in there because a strong cleaning solution smell was coming off of the toilet (which proved it hadn’t been cleaned before). I proceeded to check out and the same front desk employee asked if anyone had spoken to me and I told her they hadn’t and that the room was still in rough shape and she apologized again.
Another thing to mention was that the restaurant was a mess. I ordered the same dessert twice, once each night, and each time got a different version of a chocolate cake and ice cream. One was elegant and delicious, the second looked like a cheaper version of what you’d get at Applebees, both for the same price. I also got charged for a separate serving of ice cream in addition to what came with the chocolate dessert but the nice person that delivered my dessert the second night was able to fix it.
Overall I would absolutely not recommend this hotel. It’s dirty and the staff was uncaring in up keeping its cleanliness which is a serious concern, especially if you’re staying there while visiting someone...
Read morePlace call before making reservation to confirm parking. Spoke with front desk and inform there was a hotelngarage for parking. When arrived the next day, there were no visible signs for parking so we ask valet where was there garage located. He instructed us that it was around the corner and instructed us to park on the 4th floor because floors 1-3 was reserved for valet. After parking on 4th floor headed to elevator and waiting for about 10min along with others I called the front desk to inquire if there were any issues with elevator. Spoke with mgr Natalie and she stated she hadn't heard anything then elevator does not belong to hotel. She mentioned an attendant should be there to assist and there wasn't one. She stated take the stairs and I informed her we were checking in and had suitcases and proceeded to inform me that she didn't know what to tell me We had no choice but to take the stairs. My spouse has a heart condition. When arrive to the front desk, the young man informed me they were having problem with the card keys and gave me 2 anyway and stated when we get to the room to call and they'll send someone up. Of course neither cars worked, a man came to the room on his watch phone with no sense of urgency. He told us to come get a new key on our way out for the evening. When I checked in I adk for the mgr, of course she wasn't available, when I left out for the evening, my number was left for the mgr to call me. When I left for the evening, called back for the mgr and she was with a guest and she still never called back in which I wasny surprised. When we returned for the evening, we stopped by front desk to get new cards keys(not knowing if the other keys would work) this made our 3rd set of keys. Of course the mgr had left and did not mention my request for a call back. Sheila, front desk attendant informed me that Simon would call 1st am..He hadnt made contact with me yet
I've figured out a few things. This hotel has POOR MGMR AND CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. They care about 1 thing and that taking your $. We're spending nearly 600 for 2 nights and can't speak to anyone in charge. Perhaps because we're non white, black, maybe not but I'm sure seems this way. We're about to checkout and leave this hotel and go to our normal The Intercontinental Hotel, the street over. This has been the WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE ever and we've traveled all over the world in better hotels. RACISM at its best. The fact that she was helping another guest but wouldn't take the...
Read moreThis hotel is located central to the all the medical center facilities. I spent 11 days here with my husband who was receiving medical treatment. First 3 nights we experienced a marijuana smoke smell coming out of the ventilation. On night 2 our room was changed but the smell returned. After my 3rd complaint the situation resolved itself. What's nice about this hotel is that it is newly remodeled and modern so it feels very clean. If you're going to use the hotel shuttle it's awesome. The valet department really has the process down and they are so accommodating. The elevators are great. They are condo type elevators and take you to your floor with no stops to pick up anyone along the way. i found there was no consistency with housekeeping. I requested to have the room made up and was asked to leave the room so the service could be done and all I got was fresh towels, nothing more. I requested a specific time period for the following day to have the room serviced because it would be empty and it was never done. Had to contact the front desk. The bottled water and coffee supplies that were to be in the room were left very sporadically, leaving me to have to call the front desk and ask. I don't like to have to ask for things that are advertised as included. Having on site laundry was a plus and the laundry room was clean and well taken care of. The gym is outstanding as everything is new and operational and there's a nice view of the pool. I tried the pool but was very disappointed. I didn't get in because the water was cloudy and there was a dirty ring around the water line which remained there throughout our entire stay. If Westin is paying a service for pool upkeep they aren't getting what they should be. It was nice that the onsite restaurant was open and the service there was exceptional, although it would have been better had there been a change in the very limited menu they are currently offering. There are a couple large outdoor furnished patio areas to get some some fresh air and sunshine. Disappointingly Westin has decided to allow smoking on one of these patios. The door to this patio does not always self close so in my experience if you happen to be sitting in the lobby waiting on your room to be cleaned because it wasn't cleaned when you requested you can be assured you will enjoy the cigarette smoke that is blowing in thru the open door. You can do...
