Upstairs — Restaurant in Houston

Visited Upstairs Saturday 10/31/20 with my cousin. I enjoyed everything about this place. Self parking was easy and available (may have lucked out that day). The set up of the restaurant is trendy and chic. We sat on the patio in order to look out over the balcony. Given the current circumstance with CV19 I liked the amount of space between tables. I felt the restaurant was adhering very well to the safety guidelines. Im very picky and I felt safe. Bathrooms were very clean for Saturday at noon. Now for the libations and food....man on man. Loved it!! Im smiling right now as Im writing this. I had the Southern Crispy Chicken and Eggs. The chicken was cooked to perfection. Nice & crispy on the outside and still juicy in the inside. The chile cream sauce was a nice complement. My cousin had the Migos and enjoyed it very much. We also split the Croissant French Toast. Delicious. And we both through back two Frozes each. Banging! I found my new lil duck off spot!!! My bestie and I arrived at 3pm (that's when they open). We were greeted by two nice gentlemen behind the bar. We were allowed to sit wherever because we were the first to arrive. The venue is very cozy but chic. There is plenty of seating indoors and on the outside terrace area. The service was fast, and our waiter Christopher was amazing. Though Christopher was our waiter, there were at least 2 other gentlemen who stopped by to check on us. They really know how to make a girl feel special. It was a very welcomed change of scenery for us. It wasn't overcrowded, and it appeared to be a nice spot for professionals who want to wine down after work in a relaxed setting. The cherry on top of this amazing experience was the tab. I purchased a bottle of wine, 12 wings, crab mac n cheese,some amazing brussel sprouts, and molten lava cake for a bill ($100). I'm sold, I'm a fan and a patron. I love it here, don't change a thing. We loved this place! We were unfamiliar with the many options on this area so we picked at random. Most important must have was TVs to watch March Madness. The first place we visited had no food. My bad. I usually prepare better but it was a name I knew and I assumed. So we ended up looking for a place to relocate to and Upstairs was it! The staff was friendly and attentative all the way around. The bar selection was on point, and I'm a craft IPA guy. The food was incredible. We couldn't stop oohing and aahing while we savored every bit of the baked goat cheese. One of our favorite dishes and this one was done to perfection. Upstairs has definitely made our list.
