Today we decided to get out of the house and bring our daughter to this park because she wanted to go swimming. We were very happy to find out that there was no fee to swim at this community swimming pool some community pools have a small fee to swim but not here. So far it's not that many people here swimming today. It's a nice area as well as a quiet little ducked off spot. Our daughter is very happy swimming in this pool with our Houston weather being so hot during the summer swimming is the smartest thing we can do right now. The park is very nice they have a baseball field on site. They have bicycles that you can rent and they have a community center where they have activities going on I'm assuming during the week. The park is very shaded with a lot of greenery. The people who I see coming and going are either quiet and to themselves or families.

Not a bad walk, and it seems to be very popular with cyclists. The main trail is paved, and has some views of downtown and the sculpture, of course. Free parking, but no restroom, just a port-a-potty. The lower trail is in total disrepair and is covered with brush and litter, just if you're curious. It's not like there's any signage that encourages you to go down there, but I had an old book with a 20-yr-old trail map, so I was compelled lol. Watch yourself as a walker, as cyclists go quite fast around those trail bends. A lady on a bike literally barked at me lmao, gotta love this city.

Stude Park is one of my favorite parks in Houston. Not only does it afford amazing views of the Downtown skyline, you can rent city Bcycle bikes for $3 per 30 minutes. Whether you choose to walk, jog, or ride, Stude Park can be the starting point into Downtown. Furthermore, the ongoing Bayou Greenways project will interconnect Stude Park to several other parks and allow for the exploration of the Bayou city,s waterways. Lastly, if you are concerned about parking don't be. There's plenty of free parking here 🙌🏾

I like this park. I go there because of the nice view of downtown. I also have quiet moments of thought there. There is all sorts of different people who go there and not just one type or a bunch of thugs. I see families and joggers and people with pets and friends having a great time even BBQing. I like the Heights more than I can say. It's really clean and diverse. There is always room all along that area for parking. It's a place I like to go to do some relaxing and or reminiscing of memories. I actually feel safe and comfortable from the work week stress. This park and it's neighborhood are dear to me even though I live...
