My wife and I reserved The Parador for a 10/10/2020 wedding.
According to our contract, our final payment was due 4/10/2020 (just before covid). We paid $7,000 in total to reserve the venue.
When it became apparent that Covid restrictions would not allow us to host a 200 guest wedding, we asked the Parador staff to refund our deposit - 5 months in advance of our wedding.
The Parador staff were unwilling to compromise; and never offered a cent as a refund. After several emails and calls, we received a note/warning from an owner named Deborah Keyser. (I’m going to call her “Deb”)
Deb said we were not entitled to a refund - BUT - if they could rebook our date (in the midst of Covid), she would be kind enough to refund us 1/2 of our deposit ($3,500). Apparently, the global Covid pandemic did not satisfy Deb’s interpretation of the contract’s force majeure clause.
Worth noting - literally every other vendor we had hired accommodated our requests for refunds.
Please use my $7,000 lesson to book ANYWHERE else. We used the grove at discovery green. For sure less expensive - and way nicer.
Thanks for nothing, Deb and team. Hope you’re riding high on profit you made...
Read moreWe went to the TECO Double Ten event. It was horrible because the valet drive way ways so short. It took a long time to get cars valet to get in. Then once we got it was so crowded and area so disorganised. No many sitting area or tables to hold beverages. The layout of the eating area was horrible. People did not know where to go. The plates were in the middle and the food lines on the far wall area so you grabbed a plate wait for 30mins to 45mins to grab food. Now when you got close the cater ladies were so rude. One piece per person. Meaning one tiny bit size meat and shrimp. The food was so skimpy and the lines so slow. Many of us just left because the were snatching back food since they were tiny portions. They layout was just so uncomfortable. If you wanted to exit you had to wait for a extensive amount of time to get your vehicle. It was just not a...

You've likely driven past this place and wondered what it was. From the outside, all you can tell is that it's a large space with nice architecture.
We went to a private tasting last week and were really pleasantly shocked by the space. Enter into a standing room with plenty of space for "cocktail hour." The space was decorated for our event, but I'd bet there's a bar available for any event if you like.
Through double doors, pass into the main room. The dome ceiling is incredible! The space is divided into levels (only a step or two up) and on each is an eclectic selection of furniture arranged to allow for small groups to gather.
There's a large parking lot and plenty of street parking in the area. The bathrooms were clean.
This would be perfect for a wedding or shower! Can't...
