The Tolerance Statues @ Harmony Walk represents seven sculptures of kneeling men. This collection of ten foot, stainless steel framed statues was designed by Jaume Plensa, an internationally renowned Spanish artist & sculptor. The seven figures of Tolerance represent the Earth’s seven continents, illustrating the commonality of the human experience. The sculptures are located in the Buffalo Bayou Park in Houston Texas, a must see if you are visiting this great city!!!

The Tolerance or Plensa Statues is a collection of public art right off of Montrose Boulevard and Buffalo Bayou. The installation were designed by artist Jaume Plensa. He described his inspiration for this project as being the ability to live in harmony, in peace--hence the name. My favorite time to visit is at dusk or after dark, as the hollow statues light up from within. I highly recommend visiting, no good Houstonian should just pass by without ever stopping.

Kudos to the team who built this in their hard effort.I feel more people should visit this sculpture. They have made this with various scripts of languages across world to symbolise peace and harmony. Located very close to Dandelion fountain and dog park in Buffalo Bayou. Parking is available nearby with wheelchair accessible parking. Suggest visit times- After sunset/evening #HappyVisiting.

The statues by renowned Spanish artist Jaume Plensa are a stunning work of art that perfectly captures the spirit of tolerance and unity, and they serve as a beautiful reminder of the power of art to inspire us and bring us together. If you're in Houston, be sure to take the time to visit this incredible piece of art - you won't be disappointed!

From the moment you lay your eyes on these statues, you are instantly drawn in by their intricate design and the fine attention to detail that has gone into their creation. Each statue features a different character with a distinct facial expression, making them all unique and yet beautifully integrated into the same piece.

What's even more remarkable about the Tolerance statues is the way in which they seamlessly blend with their surroundings. Whether viewed from afar or up close, these sculptures perfectly complement the stunning landscape of Houston and become an integral part of the city's...

This Alpha-guy is one of seven Alphabet Men that kneel quietly looking out from Buffalo Bayou Park onto Allen Parkway. The statues that are made up of stainless steel letters each represent one of the seven continents. The letters are selected from several different languages. These six-foot statues rest on large stones imported from Spain where the artist was raised. Jaume Plensa, the sculpture said that his father had many books and loved to read – So, he grew up in a forest of letters. It is worth a trip to Houston at night to see them (Named -- “Tolerance”) lit up under the canopy of these live oak trees. Thousands of people drive, walk, run or cycle by these Alphabet...
