Let me start by expressing the “wow” and “it” factor that my guy Rolo and the team provides from the moment you walk in , to the precision of artistry meets barbering conducted in the chair , the delightful pour of a great coffee mixed with a light pour of burbon as a complimentary sip and cheers to a luxury experience; up until the close out of my appointment! It’s a beautiful sight to experience young entrepreneurs who are thriving and truly understand quality highend barbering beyond words can describe. Oh let’s not talk about the hot towel and facial experience! Hands down a 20 out of 10! Ortahaus is the mecca for Houston’s Elite, movers and shakers in the city. Make sure you book with Rolo and tell him Ya boy Mr. Justin Bernard sent you ! #blessing #rolo #Ortahaus #htine #clutchCity

Wow, more than wow! Thanks David, I love the new digs! This cut, right in point. Glad to see you grow bro! Atmosphere paired with the comradery, I knew I was welcome and appreciated. They guys are chill and down to earth. I love my cut, today is a good day. The free cut, offered this week too good to beat. I had to tip and purchase so hair product, new business and knowing I want them to stick around. Hit them up! Worth it, if I close my eyes while my hair being cut, I know I'm home. I booked my complimentary clean up for 3 weeks from now. I almost forgot to write my review, I came home and fell asleep...that back of the neck massage and warm towel...tranquility. Go get your hair did.

This place is legit a time machine. If you never lived in the 40s and want to know what it was like.. this has got to be the closest you’ll probably ever get. They had a variety of liquors to offer, very relaxing. The atmosphere is very relaxing and helps you distress. They gave me a hot towel neck shave with warm lather and the best cut of my life. The price is 100% worth it, considering that they give you a complimentary trim which is pretty much a second free haircut. The music is on point and the staff is very welcoming. I believe this will be the next best barber shop in Houston. Keep up the great work.

I was disappointed with my haircut. I tried Ortahaus because of the good reviews, and I don’t think my bad experience was what someone would expect from a place with such good reviews, so I feel like I should share my experience.

I would recommend going somewhere else if you do not want a fade. My hairstyle coming in did not at all resemble a fade. If that wasn’t enough, I explicitly told the barber upfront that I did not want a fade. Nothing against fades, they just don’t look good on me. I also said I wanted my hair about “a month” of hair growth shorter and that I just wanted a trim. The first thing the barber did was take electric clippers to the back of my head. Based on the instructions I gave, I was a little surprised he started with that, but since I felt my instructions were so clear and since I couldn’t see the back of my head, I let the barber continue cutting. When the barber stepped away for a moment, I reached behind my head to feel my hair and could tell it was way too short. It felt similar to a buzzcut. I told the barber that was shorter than I wanted, and in the middle of the haircut he asked if clippers or scissors are usually used when people cut my hair, to which I replied scissors.

Other than the haircut, the barbers are nice and friendly, and the owner went out of his way to remedy the situation. They were able to fit me in the same day I called. They are clearly passionate about their business and provide a great atmosphere.

My feedback would be to start off more conservatively, especially with a new client. If the barber didn’t have much experience cutting my hairstyle or wasn’t confident in the cut being to my satisfaction, I would rather have been told that upfront and matched with another barber, even if that means rescheduling. Better that than to be disappointed with...

A couple of weeks ago, my son had a terrible accident and who is currently recovering. As a result of being in the hospital for almost two months now, my son’s hair had grown out of control and I have been unable to get him into a barbershop for a proper haircut. I called various barbershops and explained my story several times and for the life of me, I could not get a barber to come out and cut my son’s hair. Then finally, I tried one more time and decided to call Ortahaus barbershop and spoke to a gentleman by the name of Ethan. Ethan understood where I was coming from and was very sincere to our situation. He quickly sent out a message to all of his fellow barbers, and within a few hours I had a gentleman by the name of Austin reach out to my wife and I. We explained the whole situation and he agreed to come out to cut our son’s hair at the hospital. My wife and I, and the whole family, from the bottom of our hearts, are so thankful for Austin and Ethan and the rest of the team for making this happen. My son looks great abd Austin was a true professional of his craft. Y’all don’t realize, after everything we’ve been through, this haircut was not only transformative for us, but it allowed for our son to meet his newborn baby boy for the first time looking sharp with a beautiful fade. I can’t thank Austin and the rest of the Ortahaus team enough. This barbershop is great and I will definitely be a forever customer. For every barber out there, a barber is not just a person who cuts hair, a barber is an artist who specializes in the literal uplifting of someone’s confidence in real time while sitting on a barber chair. ...

Rolling into Rolo’s spot is like stepping into the heart of the city’s vibe. This dude is more than a barber; he’s the maestro of the streets, turning every haircut into a statement piece. With Rolo, you don’t just get a cut; you get a custom piece of art on your head that tells the world who you are.

Chilling in Rolo’s chair is like hanging at your best bud’s place. The guy’s got stories that’ll have you cracking up and wisdom that hits deep, all while he’s sculpting your look with the precision of a street artist. The shop’s buzzing with energy, beats bumping in the background, making every visit feel like you’re at the center of the urban pulse.

Rolo’s got this uncanny ability to connect, making every client feel like the MVP. His hands work magic, transforming rough edges into sleek, sharp lines that speak volumes. And let’s not forget the atmosphere—Rolo’s spot is where the community comes together, where every nod and fist bump is a sign of respect.

When you step out of Rolo’s, you’re not just walking out with a fresh cut; you’re carrying a piece of the block with you. It’s more than a haircut; it’s a badge of honor that says you’ve been taken care of by the best in the game.

In the urban jungle, Rolo’s the king, and his chair is the throne. If you’re looking to blend authenticity with style, Rolo’s the word...
