My birthday was coming up and through the reviews and the great location, I felt that I had found the perfect restaurant. About a few weeks before my birthday I tried calling various times of the day. Since no one answered I reached out to Hilton because they are located within Embassy Suites. The lovely Hilton representative was able to obtain two phone numbers for Hearsay. They tried both numbers and could not reach anyone as well. I tried booking through Open table but with a party of 22 that wasn't allowed. So; I was able to find a booking request option on the company page. Ultimately I started receiving emails that also included a phone number from Shaquan. I can't send up her praises high enough. She was very kind, sweet, and caring. She was quite hospitable and flexible during the process. However, the general manager Manny was rude, short, and disinterested in having 22 professional individuals spend time at this location. He attempted to break a verbal contract with me days before my birthday via email. As Ms. Shaquan can tell you, I was the consummate professional throughout the entire process. When I did get to speak with Manny via phone the first time, we were on for like two minutes and no details had been resolved. He told me, "I'm walking into a meeting. I've got to go." There was NO follow-up. The last time I spoke with him, Shaquan was attempting to save the reservation. While it was dinner time, he didn't show any interest in saving the reservation, and was mostly quiet and disconnected. He ultimately said, "I really have to go." And hung up. This was less than 24 hours before the scheduled dinner, and still nothing was resolved. As God would have it a great angel was sent in the midst of what had become birthday planning misery and obtained a booking at an elaborate restaurant within 24 hours of my birthday. I canceled the hearsay reservation and will be going to 51 Fifteen on Westheimer today. Thanks Twee for turning my birthday frown upside down. Being in customer service in various capacities for so long, I would say that Manny should be apologizing and doing what he can to make amends. In my humble opinion, he was quite unprofessional and off-putting. So, it's up to you but you might consider taking larger parties elsewhere. Lastly, I give 5 stars to Shaquan for her professionalism. 0 stars to Manny for giving me undue stress for just trying to meet up with some friends and family for a fun but...
Read moreI ordered almost $40 worth of food this past Sunday, via doordash, and the driver gave me the wrong order from here. I ordered the waguu burger with Brussels sprouts the Wedge Salad and creme brulee, unfortunately I never received that but got an order of modified reddish tacos with cheese grits as the side. It was not tasty at all and was cheap looking. The cheese grits were given to my cat then thrown out and thats after I added seasonings, cream and butter to it. Nasty!
I am now hesitant to reorder the meal I wanted after reading some mediocre reviews the past 2 years. As top 10% GOOGLE LOCAL GUIDE FOR RESTAURANTS, I had high hopes of getting my intended order to leave my Summer 2025 Google Local Guide Restaurant review. I have traveled all over the world and their menu reminded me of the Palm where I used to work, a world renowned steakhouse and customer satisfaction is a must I even went so far as to call the restaurant and a Hispanic man answered and told me he couldn't help me.
There was a special discount at that time and since then it hasn't returned to doordash so it's now $42 instead of $35 total for all 3 items! I'm on a fixed income and disabled and with all the inflation, added fees and tip, it's almost $50 now without the doordash discount they had Sunday! Hoping corporate can get into touch and resolve this in a timely manner and I will update this review if they do.
But from what I've tasted im.not impressed with the chef and the avocado was missing from.the reddifsh tacos, as the other person got my order and i got hers which was only $20 worth and mine was $35+!!! The redfish tacos were dry and soggy at the same time, quite a feat in a bad way.
The BURGER WAS GARBAGE! TEMP OFF, TASTED WEIRD, OLD MEAT, BACON RUBBERY ONE THIN SLICE TOMATO AND OLD BLACK WILTED LETTUCE, BACON BRUSSELS TOO VINEGARY AND GROSS THE CAT WONT EVEN EAT IT! TOO MUCH CUTTING CORNERS ON DELIVERY ORDERS!! IT WAS MY PRE BIRTHDAY MEAL YOU GUYS LET ME DOWN...
Read moreSave your money and go eat at Pappasitos. If I could give it 0 stars I would but 1 because the hostess was helpful. We went before a concert last night at Toyota Center. Had reservations, arrived early. The Hostess was very friendly and helpful. We decided to sit at the bar and eat since we were early. Sat at the bar saw two bartenders and other servers. Sat for 13 minutes with 0 acknowledgement-no greet, no eye contact, nothing. The hostess came by and I asked "We can eat here correct?" She said "has no one helped you?" We responded with no. The hostess came behind the bar to help us and take our order. We placed a drink order and then the bartenders told the hostess she had to leave the bar area (that she couldn't help us). The bartenders had still not even come by however they talked to every customer around us. 7 minutes later our drinks arrive. I ordered a specialty drink which was nothing like the description. It was supposed to be several colors with an edible bubble on the top. I got a glass of limoncello and syrup, no colors, no bubble and still not one hello from the bartenders (one set our drinks down and walked away). Waited 10 more minutes with no acknowledgement and decided this wasn't the place to eat. The hostess did her best and was very apologetic but having been in the restaurant industry for 20 years, this is horrible customer service. If they had been busy and understaffed I would have understood but that was not the case. Really disappointed because the reviews were good and the menu...
