Definitely a "regular" at this joint lol. Like a "second home" :P. Usually come by and stay here to use the great Wi-Fi connections they have here for my laptop. The library is nice, spacious and open. The staff are friendly and eager to help out with all your requests if you just muster up the courage to ask them for help if you're shy. It's a good "social atmosphere" most of the time. Can be quiet and laidback in the late evening when it gets dark outside closer to nighttime. The only main "problem" folks who come here have has to do with the PRINTER here... The printer only prints in black ink so no "color ink" here. Also the real "bummer" (but you're using public services so "payment" is only fair in a sense) is that to use the printer to print out copies you have to purchase a print card ranging from 15 cents up depending how many paper copies you want to print out. I advise getting help directly from one of the library staff at the front desk. Sometimes it gets annoying when too many people ask you how to "work the printer" when they see I'm already sitting down working on my computer lol! Go up to the library staff and ask for help! They're there to help "doing their job" (After a while I even overhear when they even comment how "bored" they get since they don't have someone to help). Please quit bothering people who might busy doing something people. I don't know how to work the printer since I never use it (unless necessary).
Also, this is a nice place to relax and rewind a bit after stopping by the local Cliff Tuttle Park for a breather. It's nice comfortable air conditioner (A/C) inside for hot, sunny Houston, Texas days; although you may get a bit "cool" after a while if you're in for a long time so having a nice light jacket to wear is good.
Like anything else in life you don't "get everything" exactly perfect and the way you want but this library is a very useful place for...
Read moreI always go to this library and even time I’ve been the staff has always been very nice I never had any problems. I went today to pick up a book I’ve had on hold and when I went there was a lady I’m guessing new who I’ve had not seen before who is very rude. I have always check out books with my husband library card because I have not gotten one because I had to get a new id and had just moved here to Houston last year but every time I have went they left me use my husband library card as they have seen me with him to check out books and I even checked out book by myself they told me as long as I had my husband library card. The lady at the front desk was very rude about it and would not let me check out the book I placed on hold I’m guessing because she thought I was going to steal the book or something but I had the library card in my hand. I’ve never had any issues at this library before very disappointed that...
