Dixie Maid — Restaurant in Houston

The steak fingers are absolutely horrible and tasted spoiled, I got sick after eating here, do not recommend eating here . This place is dirty all the time and restroom is disgusting. The owner thinks his food is good but its horrible trash. Health volition I'm sure stay away. I'm not sure how the health department has allowed the owner to stay in business here it's a trashed out understaffed facility. You'll get old or cold fries refried sometimes. I choose to eat elsewhere. Just discusting experience. Owner has a bad attitude and it's a shame to treat customers in this manner. Don't give me old food because I'll tell everyone. They don't practice good safe clean regular habits such as washing hands after handling money after taking orders back to preparing food which is a clear health risk. No hand soap in restroom sometimes a dirty bar of soap everyone before you has used germs galore. This restaurant looks as if it's cleaned once a year or so most likely. Understaffed so the place doesn't get cleaned very good. The restroom looks like an old service station restroom from 50 years ago nasty and very dirty. Nasty trash cans not emptied regularly. Tables not wiped down regularly and floors dirty as well and this is a lack of good management practices. I would eat hamburger's here at one time but now I have moved on down the road for good. I have found a better hamburger combo for a better price just down the street....

Well, it's complicated. Depends on your view. Male in charge, not friendly. Maby, that's why there were no other customers. I ordered cheeseburger, fries, and asked how much for water? .50 was a reply. Buddy ordered the meal. Price seemed excessive. My meal was accually eligible for the lunch discount. After i told him the water tasted nasty, he just looked at me. I would have asked for a soda to replace it even though he never offered me that deal. But I felt that would have opened up a can of lets just argue about it. So i ate my cheeseburger and fries. And left everything on the counter when i was done. And went on my merry way. Lol. I would go there again, though. I think certain folks in houston (restaurant and business owners) just have a problem being courteous. My hair still looks like crap from the barber who had the same type of attitude. Maybe life is tough...

Had basically ordered something that was custom but just with everything on the menu and was very well received wasn't rude about anything and was very forthcoming with helping and just making sure that the time was overall good. I had ordered a double cheeseburger with bacon and egg and when I tell you that they were so nice and when I received the food it was so delicious never have I had anything as good as that. Really quite well-made burger for not an expensive cost. The atmosphere made it feel like you had traveled back in time before the digital era and could escape from it currently. Such a good place that even the chef coming out to clean, asked if we had enjoy the food and with a big grin on our faces able to say yes thank you sir that was wonderful.
