Taqueria El Nopalito — Restaurant in Houston

The waitress wasn't rude, but she was not very attentive. It took about 10 minutes for her to help us and another 10 minutes to bring coffee, but she never brought the water my husband asked for when ordering the coffee. When she brought the food, she said she'd bring the water. My husband had to ask again when she came to pick up our plates. The food needed flavor and the barbacoa had a consistency that made it seem like it was boiled. As much as I want a business in DH to prosper, it's not going to happen here with this type of service. This particular building has been several different restaurants and I believe they fail because they don't advertise. WOW!!!!! I wish I had taken a picture but WOW the food is SUPER DELICIOUS!! I was tired of the same old restaurants and decided to try this place and mannnn let me tell you when I tried the horchata my eyes literally opened lol it’s SO GOOD!!!! I’m a big girl I love to eat and I KNOW good food 🤣 so y’all I got a menudo and a gordita de fajita and dudeeeee it’s was so freaking good!!!! I’m so happy I found this place!!! My husband got a gordita de pollo and a caldo de res and he was really happy with his food as well!!! I’m DEFINITELY ordering from here again!!!! Y’all go try it...

Went on a Wednesday evening. They had $2.99 margaritas. They were not too strong but not too weak either but had good flavor. We ordered the mango margarita btw. Ordered fajita queso flameado as an appetizer. It was good but fajita didn’t have much flavor. Tried the Tostada and Torta with fajita it they were really good. Also tried the mini tacos with Pastor and Fajita. They were really good I will definitely be returning I was pleasantly surprised by the food. Our waitress was really nice and attentive also.
