EDIT: since initially writing my review, Cedar Hill did reach out to me to correct our issues. We have received our missing items and our furniture has been appropriately repaired. I appreciated the effort they made in correcting the problems we had.
I am so disappointed in our experience at Cedar Hill. We had looked at several other stores, but ultimately ordered our furniture from Cedar Hill because of the excellent service we received when ordering. However, that is where our positive experience ended. Understandably, there was a long wait for our furniture. We were told 5 months. After the five months we called to check on our delivery date and were told it would not be done when they thought. Again, understandable given the COVID delays. We were given another estimate a few weeks later. No one ever contacted us with any sort of update. Our furniture was delayed another three months. We would have understood the delays but were never once contacted by anyone at Cedar Hill Any update we received was because we called. Once we received our furniture we noticed the pillows we ordered were not there. We had to call several times to have this corrected. It has now been three more months and there have been no updates and we have been told basically it’s not their problem - they will arrive when they do. We were also scheduled for a technician to come to our home to correct an error with one of our pieces of furniture and no one bothered to show or call. I called a week later and they did reschedule us but no explanation or apology for the no show the previous week. I always choose to support local businesses. I just had an experience with Cedar Hill that I felt was a perfect example of why they are the best place to buy your furniture. Will you find it cheaper somewhere else? Maybe. Will you be taken care of 17 years after your purchase elsewhere? Not likely!
I bought my first new La-z-boy recliner with my first sales bonus check many years ago. It was a good enough experience that a couple years later we bought our first new couch there. I've recommended them to friends and family because of the good service over the years. However, that is not why I am giving them a glowing review today.
My 17 year old recliner broke a seat spring. I figured I might as well replace all of them at the same time. Cedar Hill went ahead and got me an entire new seat frame with the springs already mounted. For a modest fee they moved my upholstery over to the new frame. I took it home and attempted to reassemble the chair myself, but I ended up making a mess of it. I put in a message via the Contact Us portion of their website well after they closed. Mike replied within minutes and told me to bring the chair in and they'd take care of me. It took them minutes to correct what had taken me hours to screw up. And to top it off, they didn't make me feel foolish!

We comparison shopped for several months & ultimately decided that Cedar Hill was the best store in town for price, quality, professionalism, & service. They are a family run & locally owned business. Dan & Murphy really listened & cared about helping us make the best decision for our home. It took a little over a year to get our sectional due to pandemic factory backlogs, but they kept us informed of the status as it got closer to shipment & delivery. They were great to work with. The delivery people were professional & careful when bringing the furniture into our house & setting it up. We are very happy with our purchase & love the sectional! It's so comfortable & looks beautiful in our home! After the sectional arrived, we realized that our space could actually accommodate one more armless recliner, so we ordered this additional piece in Sep 2022. Dan told us the fabric color might not match perfectly as it would probably be a different dye lot.
